That’s what I get from it as well. Due to the “Rona”, and the deadzone being in the red since day one, the big money is gone. One can only imagine what could have been had he come to the USA acting like a guest in this country rather than a conquering redcoat invader. Yanks have a 4th of July for a reason. And his online legion of nationalist incels who spammed and trolled any American who didn’t take to him certainly hurt his cause....by strengthening American resistance to him. Especially the “hated”, “feared”, “dreaded”, “menacing”, “fiendish” LDBC who his white nationalist minions especially hate

Remember when we didn't have the 'rona and boxing was the only sport on TV so it didn't need to compete with other sports? It's a good thing they invented new sports like football and basketball and soccer over the last couple months so that we can start getting competitive fights.

I agree, but there should also be some accountability when it comes to such meaningful fights.

I remember forking out PPV for the likes of Lewis vs Holyfield. Tyson was another, but when you get match-ups like Cleverley vs Bellew on PPV, questions need to be asked regardless how meaningful these fights are...

What a depressing post and a reminder just how bad things have gotten for real
Fans of the sport. And the irony is that in the USA, you now have more boxing than ever......but it’s now become a matter of quantity over quality

I 100% agree with Hearns on this. Fighters of the past fought whom they had to while in their primes. Case and point, by the time Mayweather & Pacquiao fought the buildup had fizzled, and the fight was less than stellar. I'm sure all the fans felt this particular fight had definitely outlived its shelf life.
Now we are stuck with a bunch of egotistical fighters in every weight class vying for the "A" side.

Bottom Line Eddie Hearn and Al Haymon need stop with the War Of Egos which is how Purses have gotten out of control in the first place. They've made even average fighter feel entitled to big paydays
and real **** fighters as well feeling entitled to big money , if Hearn is going to give his average fightrete easy fights and big money on a stadium show on DAZN or sky the " body " will expect more as well , only downside is if the body doesn't take the fight as they feel the risk and reward is to great you go down a further level and a worse fight again and another nail in the coffin of a once great sport .

Ha! All of a sudden Hearn doesn't want to baby his fighters like AJ and Whyte. Another indication that people were mislead by the quality of opponents and fights. AJ idiots getting boners watching him beat up on inferior opponents calling him the second coming.

Want to know why Hearns tune has changed? Because DAZN is bankrupt. A crappy streaming business that was doomed to fail by piss poor management of quality fights. DAZN was tanking before the pandemic which was why they were going to propose $50 a month instead of the $20 they currently have to subscribe.

Think of this as a quick death instead of a slow death. Poor quality service's at a cheap rate does not equal massive profits especially with streaming.

Meanwhile idiots here that attack me about Wilder turning down 100 million dollars for fighting with DAZN should now see the truth. Hearn was playing a huge gamble. They were betting on a couple scenarios.

1 they probably never had the revenue to offer wilder 100 mil so it was a publicity stunt to proclaim they offered him a deal (which they never disclosed their side of the contract with conditions and money disbursement to their side) to falsely advertise they wanted the fight.

2 they needed Wilder to generate revenue and hope they would make up the 100 mil during the proclaimed fight contract with DAZN because they weren't anywhere near making a profit.

To spite wilder Hearn and AJ keep saying they are freezing him out and that they are done with him lol. Because they couldn't use him to save their business...lololol. AJ cuckers. Don't think I'm all for wilder. I beat up on him too for his lack of opponents prior to ortiz and fury and his costume claim. But i know whats true and call a spade a spade.

You see why Fury took the 100 million contract from ESPN? Because ESPN could guarantee this. Why wouldn't he take the DAZN deal especially in his home country?

A bogus business providing garbage fights nickel and diming fans/ customers. Yeah let's keep seeing their top fighters match up with lesser opponents. People aren't going to continue to subscribe and invest.

More vulnerable than most to the loss of live sports, DAZN is reportedly seeking more outside investment, and ownership isn't ruling out selling it all.
