Chris Eubank Jr. has spent most of his life being compared to his fighting father. Now comes the expectation of drawing parallels to his new head trainer. The second-generation boxer from Brighton, England has learned to live with being measured up to his father Chris Eubank Sr., a former two-division titlist and an integral part of the 1990s United Kingdom boxing scene. Efforts to take to his own game to the next level has led to a union with Roy Jones Jr. a former four-division titlist who is now an active head trainer.

It is interesting as Eubank Jnr does have good speed, and speed was Roy's game. The only thing more fun would be to have Nigel Benn train him lol.

In the past Eubank Jr.'s training highlight videos were all about how hard he could punch, how fast he could punch, and how many punches he could throw without stopping. Athletic/fitness stuff.

So it's good to see that he is spending more time now working on boxing skill development. Things like footwork, head movement, proper punch combinations etc.

The way he trained all those years was laughable really, just wailing away at bags wildly and loudly!?

Roy was like Superman before the BALCO story got loose. Not as great after that

I don't know really. Eubank Jr has always been good enough. He ultimately pretty much beat Billy Joe Saunders up in their fight. Saunders ran from the rematch like a little girl.

He just lacks a big punch. If had a big punch he would have done a lot better. Not sure Jones giving him the ability to land a few more punches is going to help much.

Eubank should have signed with Hearn and dropped his father from his team already

I thought Saunders looked the more skilled early on but as the rounds progressed Eubank Jr became more confident and started to use his power.

Still feel Saunders looks the more naturally able of the two though.

Yes Eubank stopped trying to box Saunders and basically just walked through him to land his punches

Whatever Saunders is - he hasn't done much either in boxing. He beat Lemmieux who is a very good boxer but he's not at the top. Saunders just gets by on his big mouth it seems to me. No way will he beat Canelo if that fight ever happens

Saunders and Eubank are both disappointments in terms of who they have fought since
