Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Vows To Be Pound-For-Pound at 118, Then Back To 122

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Guillermo Rigondeaux has a set goal to become a pound-for-pound champion in the bantamweight division. Rigondeaux, a former world champion at 122-pounds, became a pound-for-pound fighter at super bantamweight. He now wants to repeat that accomplishment at 118.

Inoue will kill him. Rigo's jaw is shot. He was holding on to Solis for dear life.

I'm tired of this old boring fighter. One of the biggest fight spoilers in boxing history. The last time I despised watching a TV fighter more was John Ruiz. That guy is still the GOAT of **** show fights.

Rigo would fight like his old self against Inoue on Top Rank.

Rigo and his team were obviously advised to fight differently on PBC cards. If Rigo already got flack on other networks, then there’d be no exception on a PBC show since Fox or Show need premium ratings...

Therefore Haymon would advise Rigo to fight Inoue on a Top Rank card the way he chooses to without pressure or expectations from “corporate.”

Inoue needs to know that Rigo hits very very hard, and a 118 Rigo would be super fast.

^^^I think the Solis fight was a one time thing, he was already back to his original style in his last fight.

I wonder if Bob would put Rigo in there vs Inoue as payback for "wrecking" Donaire's train years back.

Speaking of cuban fighters, where the hell is Lara, he's been real quiet for months now?

I will say he has the likelihood of being in good fights as his legs are gone

I hope he merges the style he used in his last fight with the fight before which would have been the best of both world's, basically smart fighting with pressure. One style is too risky and the other not overly enjoyable to watch.

Enjoy 'El Chacal' while it lasts. Some of you fools don't even realise you're watching the last dregs of a genuine ATG!
