Hearn was being up front and admitted to things which he explained why. Sounded like he would do it again if need be. Also sounds like he knows it needs a bit of structuring. Personally it's the little gems, those co main events that made it for me. Martinez vs Harris what a treat that was!
Xu Can vs Rojas early 2019 great!! I could keep going and not even mention main events. It's all about the matchup. Sh.. when it's all said and done the fight will live on the 3 million or 30 million will be spent..

Love him or hate him Eddie hits the nail on the head. There have been too many champs fighting bums recently, and with the money on offer, fighters would be insane to turn that down.
In this lockdown world it's not gonna cut it any more, demands of 10+ million to fight Joshua or Canelo is now a pipe dream for most. I imagine most heavyweights will struggle to demand more than a couple million if they have a half decent following. Obviously those two big guns are in guaranteed money, but without bringing in anything opponents will have to settle for pennies on the dollar in comparison.
I think the boxing market was due a readjustment, and for the fans this is going to be great. People go where the money, and right now that's only big fights, so anyone who thinks highly of themselves is going to have to put it on the line for a big payday. No more GGG vs Rolls or whatever the name of his current mando for more than a couple hundred thou. Canelo vs GGG makes sense, Joshua vs Fury, Crawford vs Spencer, Garcia/Thurman/Spence vs Pacquiaoalso make sense.

With the numbers of people out of a job, there's not enough money out there for fighting bums. Time for the fighters to put up or shut up. They're profile will now do the talking, and the only way to message that bigger is to fight the best.

Hearn didn’t say anything specific about GBP’s business with DAZN. The context started with Mikey vs Vargas purses. Those fights and the fanbases have nothing to do with GBP’s retention of customers for Alvarez.

Hearn can’t speak on behalf of Oscar or how DAZN handles approvals for GBP. DAZN’s social media statistics peak with Canelo and Ryan Garcia following. Hearn knows this. He’s speaking about Matchroom. Stop theorizing or believing that Matchroom USA moves DAZN.

I made a thread last year blaming Hearn/DAZN.

          Is DAZN destroying boxing?

One thing you do have to consider though Is a lot of there good fights are British fighters so if your not interested in those then it may or you off a little , bit even without the British fights they were would have still been competitive on the match up fronts.

The big difference between matchroom fights and other promoters is that Eddie usually puts several decent fights on one card so you can look much further down than the headline if that isn’t a great match up. A lot of other promoters have one undercard worth watching at most.

Compare Joshua Ruiz matchcards versus wilder fury as an example.
If you recall, that's how PBC was when they first started too. What Eddie is saying is that they no longer have the money to continue paying these guys the same way for much longer.

He owes PBC 2 more fights , if I’m not mistaken it might be 1
                He signed for 3 fights
He was just in some PBC/COVID publicity
Don’t think he would be there if he wasn’t with PBC

                    Not quite the same thing
Don’t see Al letting him go just like that without making coin on it
Then why sign Manny if your going to let him just go elsewhere ?

He's gonna get his regardless. I still haven't seen that Manny is still under contract. Back in March, on this site, they said there was "confusion" over whether Manny is still with PBC. I know he signed a deal with "Paradigm Sports Management" in February. We'll see!
