If it was OK for Hopkins to fight at 50 why is it not OK for Tyson to fight at 53? A lot of guys that were younger than Tyson had no business being in the ring anymore but Noone stopped them. Roy Jones Jr, Jermaine Taylor, even Ali who shouldn't have fought for probably 5 years before he retired because it was clear much earlier something was already starting to go wrong with him. But they were all allowed. All of a sudden we are drawing the line at Tyson?

Hell, I would love to have a seniors league in boxing. Let them fight Olympic style, headgear, different gloves, I'd be fine with it.

If Tyson were to comeback in a professional capacity (not exhibition) then there is no way in h3II he should compete at heavyweight. Unless it's against Holyfield or some other less then capable opponent (NFL player, old fighter). Briggs is about as dangerous of an active opponent at heavyweight I'd say would be okay. Mike would be nothing but a punching bag for these bigger heavyweights today. He just wouldn't be able to close the distance to an effective range, especially at this age. If he, in tip top shape, were to be walking around at 205-210 rn then I'd actually say cruiserweight is a real possibility. I think he could hold his own against some of those guys and possibly win a title.. look I'm just saying it's possible

Mike tyson should take the tyson fury route. 1st fight... sefer seferi, 2nd fight that pieneta, 3rd fight tom shortz... all in 3 or max 4 round "exhibitions"... that should get his ring rust off,
And build up comfortably to a holyfield 3 fight, and the winner of that should face briggs... as hes the most live and dangerous...
          Like a mini tournament.
Safest route of a comeback and make some decent money in the process.

Even exhibitions are a big ask for Mike. How can anyone come to any serious conclusions on the strength of a clip that lasts seconds? He could be walking through treacle after 90 seconds!

Given his age, previous injuries and what he's put his mind and body through with Class A's; if he can do 3 rounds of decent level sparring it's a massive testament to his fitness/conditioning.

Stop hating on Mike. Let him pursue what he wants and get knocked out if he wants. Either way, it’s compelling entertainment.
