Eh idk man...Floyd was great, but he took no real risks in his Money May days...never had to...and then he was still good enough to always win when he tilted the odds in his favor...definitely a great fighter but people over-hype some of his performances and wins imhoComment

I'm not a 'pac-fan' so I would say he did similar to Floyd...used his A-side superstar status to take favorable fights, and often times negotiated things like weight in his favor.
He did however travel, to face Horn in Australia for example...and the Marquez fights were always risky enough for him...as evidenced by the results.
I've also always viewed Manny as a fairly smaller-sized guy even relative to Floyd...if Floyd is a natural 140 pounder, Manny is maybe at best 135...so I think his moving up in weight was a bit tougher/riskier than Floyd...he was fighting naturally larger guys...Margarito...Cotto...Horn...ODLH...they all just dwarfed Pac in there and he was 3-1 and some say 4-0 in those fights.
I don't really follow your logic man...saying a guy weighing 152 would be competitive with guys weighing 147...5 pounds is a nice little bonus..weight classes exist for a reasonComment

The only risk in traveling is the food and maybe the weather.I'm not a 'pac-fan' so I would say he did similar to Floyd...used his A-side superstar status to take favorable fights, and often times negotiated things like weight in his favor.

Here's the ''risks'' Pac had to endure
(guys may have ONCE been legit but definitely NOT when Pac FOUGHT THEM)
In no particular order -
Lucas - puhleese
Vargas - low ko %
Bradley THREE TIMES - low ko %
Horn - if rough housing had a division, Horn would still be a chump.
Rios - (see Lucas)
Margarito - Size and all aside.....
Come fan with us. SB Nation is the largest independent sports media brand, consisting of SBNation.com, MMAFighting.com and over 300 fan-centric team communities.
Algieri - low ko %
JMM - Pac struggled where My cruised. No need for a 2.
DLH - If you are more of a fan of the sport you will see this for what it really was
Clottey - Had one moment in his career where he kinda shined (vs Cotto).
Mosley - They touched gloves more than anything. It was pitiful.
Even May wasn't a risk with his low WW ko %.
I can't believe it's even a debate. Can you imagine the abuse ANY OTHER FIGHTER would suffer if they had such a resume and thought of as ATG ?!?!?!?Comment

Taking into account May's love for the A Side life, if the boss can have his work come TO HIM, there may not be a sweeter perk. And being a boss (A Side) is all about perks.
May would NOT become a more beatable guy if he fuucking traveled
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you're a big Mayweather guy? I can't really tell what your point is tbh...you seem less interested in having a convo compared to trying to prop up Floyd and down Manny.
You can pick apart the resume/fighter list of basically anyone all-time...Ali the only guy for me to immediately come to mind as having faced many top fighters in their primes, in more or less neutral places...and that is why many call him the GOAT...and that is even with a pretty mixed bag in many of his big fights.Comment
