Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez: I Want To Face Miguel Berchelt As Soon As Possible!

Former world champion Oscar Valdez made it clear that his priority is to beat Miguel Berchelt, who holds the super featherweight title from the World Boxing Council (WBC). Valdez vacated his World Boxing Organization (WBO) featherweight belt to move up to 130-pounds to go after the fight with Berchelt.

Can't help but admire Valdez' ambitions but berchelt will put a stop on them.
Valdez isn't big enough to be a force in and above 135.

They would be fighting at 130 though I still think Berchelt takes it Oscar hasn't looked that good in his last few fights not sure if that jaw injury messed with him but I haven't seen much improvements with the Reynosos to be honest.

True. I think he is what he is. He is still damn good but berchelt is bigger longer stronger fresher. I would favor him.

It’ll be a tough fight with berchelt, but anything can happen in boxing... valdez isn’t no slouch... what I do know is that berchelt won’t be able to out will valdez... it’ll come down to skill and to me, valdez is by far the more skilled of the two... valdez by decision

Valdez is somewhat damaged goods now. Too much punishment early in his career. This will be a butchery and they will both lose a piece of their prime in this fight. I do not like this fight. They will be ready to get beat by any top contender after this one. Don't do it.

Actually its opposite. Berchelt is more skilled of the two. Valdez last fight shows he is vulnerable to defeat in this division...

Man! You just said what I bet is on the back of alot of people's minds. No matter how much I would like to see this fight, at what cost will it take on both fighters. And I admire both fighters!

I don't see it taking anywhere near as much out of Berchelt as it will.out of Valdez.
I wouldn't be surprised if Valdez gets stopped in the late rounds.
