Nice top 10. Hard to argue with any really. Personally Ali is my no.1 but I think you could switch the order on a few of these. The top 10 as a whole is great.

      great list !

I would maybe have Armstrong at 3, and Leonard a little higher

waits for the pac-crew to flood this thread with breadcrumbs and tears

like I always said... Mayweather is about about 15'ish, maybe a little higher... Pac is about 25'ish, maybe a little higher

be cool if bread did a 11-20 list next

Never been a cheerleader for Robinson at number 1 ...different era , different fighters and different times.
Robinson was dropped and lost to many fighters that were way below the grade.
Maxim , Turpin , Jones and pender , was dropped a number of times and failed to win a lightheavyweight title by stoppage which Leonard and hearns both did coming up from welterweight.
I think Leonard , Duran and Ali are all round better fighters with the eye test

aboutfkntime - I can see Floyd easy top 25, maybe as high as you say. As a measuring stick I have always thought Floyd would have beat Pernell Whitaker and he had at least as good a career as him. And most would have Sweet Pea in or close to their Top 20.

The plunger man - Fair enough if you have those guys ahead of SRR, but remember that Robinson was past prime when he fought the names you mention, and that he had more fights than Ali, Duran and Leonard COMBINED.

oops, my bad... I meant ' lower '

lower/higher, I guess it depends which way you are looking

what I meant was... Mayweather is about 15'ish, maybe a little higher... 15-20'ish... and Pac is about 25'ish, maybe a little higher... 25-30'ish

I dunno, Mayweather could be closer to 15

Sorry Bread, but if your going back as far as Sam Langford then Bob Fitzsimmons really needs to be included end of! These lists really need to be kept to pre & post WW II!!.......

Man great list but I often disagree with very high rankings of guys like Langford etc but its fine. Robinson, Ali, Armstrong, Leonard are all mentioned and they are the upper echelon of the sport.

Plus, great bit about Ali have ZERO misses in a twenty year career...just wish modern fighters can do the same.
