Just looking at most weight classes, the only weight classes Americans dominate are 154 and 147.

Every good thing always come to an end. Is this the end of an era?

You ask if THIS the end of American boxing but you don't explain what THIS is. Did some event happen to suddenly make America less dominate than they were before?????? If so what was it? I am a fan of individual boxers not whole countries of boxers. i am an American boxing fan but that doesn't i always like or root for the American boxer to beat boxers from other countries. my favorite boxers could come from any country. If one of my favorite boxers from another country fights an American then i will be rooting for him to beat the american. So it is not important to me that America dominates boxing since I can pick my favorite fighters from anywhere in the world. anyway add up the total number of current world champions from all the different countries in all the different weight classes and I think the USA still has the most world champions today.

Other countries just developed interest in boxing and countries in the old soviet union started turning pro after it collapsed.

American boxing hadn't been dominant for how many years, and its always just at Welterweight that they have an in cling of dominance.

108-126 belongs to asians and latinos, 130-140 is mixed of americans, latinos and asians and Welterweight is predominantly American, while Middleweight-Cruiserweight is very heavy towards Eastern Euros and brits, with the exception of Andre Ward. At HW no american held a belt for 10 years until Wilder did it, and he got destroyed by a brit. And likely that the HW would probably belong to the brits for close to 10 more years.

147-154 is the only weight class that americans have good presence, and they are ducking each other, and at 154, the iteration of South Americans in Rosario and Taxeria is starting to crumble it down.
