Correct me if I'm wrong but don't UFC fighters still make less?

Boxing has the same problems it has always had, that is why it does not need fixing.
The day boxing is run like he UFC, it will be the end of the sport. Boxing is the most inclusive sport in the world, because it has no central governing body or nucleus 'It is everywhere'.
Trying to create one big organisation and monopoly in some ways creates slavery 'A infringement on a fighters liberty'. Boxers more so that UFC fighters have transcended sport in multiple ways, because they are not ****** to a company.
There are drawbacks to the way boxing is run, but also benefits 'I don't care if the best fight the best in the UFC, really do they? The UFC is one organisation, which employee's afew hundred fighters spanning all weight divisions. The participation levels in boxing are much higher, one weight division in boxing probably has more active participants then the entire UFC divisions combined.
If boxing is suddenly run like the UFC, that freedom 'Liberty, the dream of success' will be gone forever in boxing. There could be a fighter out there right now, that none of us here know about 'That is 1 year away from changing the entire game, and beating Tyson Fury'.
There will never be a Rocky Balboa type hero that is created by the UFC, the environment and landscape quite simply is not conducive for that type of glory.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 05-14-2020, 11:46 AM.Comment

Eddie Hearn and Dana White are both arrogant but I can agree that Eddie Hearn is good for the sport as much as a lot of the fights are mismatches he has been putting on solid cards in the United Kingdom for some time. I like the DAZN model to be honest I like how it allows the US public to see more international fights without having to stream and not only that but if you don't have the subscription you can still catch the highlights of the fights right after on their YouTube channel and they are pretty well edited and show excellent footage from the fights.
He is giving exposure to a lot of young talent as well so that's always good the more platforms the better to me even before this corona **** I find it funny how people complain about more fights I understand the politics and making it harder for unification fights between platforms and what not but it seems in recent years that promoter conflict has died down and more fights are being made the only ones that aren't are the fighters stalling for whatever reason and using the promoter problem as an excuse.Comment

Boxing's problem is it's more segregated than ever. Never in the years I've been watching Boxing (close to 30 years) have I seen fighters bypass other top level fighters because they're aligned with a particular Promoter or Network. So many fights in the last 5 years haven't happened because of such. The saddest part is the fans today cheer lead for a promoter or Network as if Boxing is a Team Sport.

This is where the confusion lies with me. First off, I feel the UFC fighters are absolutely getting paid ****ty in comparison to Boxers. But again, are we watching these guys fight or watching their Bank Accounts go up? I give the UFC a lot of credit in that they match the best of the best almost all the time. Case in point, the guy who just beat Tony Ferguson is going to now fight Khabib NEXT...not a year from now, not 2 years from now...NEXT. How does their payout effect us? At the end of the day Boxing is STILL a Sport that unfortunately in the later years hasn't provided the "best vs the best" more times than not.Comment
