Marquez spent his 20s fighting nobodies while Morales was in classic battles against better fighters than Marquez was facing.

Marquez wasn’t fighting at the highest level because he was the most avoided featherweight in the world. There were reports of even Nazeem Hamed wanting nothing to do with him.

The first fight going to pac was fine cuz a 10-6 round is a hard deficit to overcome,

but aside from that round, Marquez outboxed pac the majority of the fight.

          The 2nd was close,

but I thought Marquez edged it...

but again, it was reasonably close enough to go the other way.

The 3rd fight I have a hard time seeing it for pac...

I thought Marquez won won that one more clear than the first 2.

          agree with all points

I think Marquez had the better career, he went up more in weight.

But head to head Morales is a nightmare match up for Marquez.

All round great fighter el terrible,

plus he was tall, long, and a great jabber...

all the things Marquez struggles with.

            Marquez-Morales was a missed opportunity like Hopkins-Toney

Marquez has horrible defense, why do people think he is technically above? Ive seen him getting bloodied against some Thai scrub who Paquiao and Morales would have merked without getting scratched.

Morales is much better technically look what a shot past his prime Morales with one eye shut did to a prime Chino Maidana he was schooling him and slipping and countering Chino off the ropes.

Marquez is a matador counter puncher who doesnt clinch doesnt know how to double guard block, he basically just tries to time you with three punch power combos as you rush in. He has been in wars and is popular because NOBODY has been able to stop him, he has been dropped hard only to either comeback and stop the guy or get the W in the end.

Morales was the first to beat the good manny, but Erik went life & death with him

Plus Marquez didn’t get knocked out bad by manny
Marquez NEVER gave Manny a boxing lesson. Their fights were always neck and neck and Pac always dropped JMM, even in fight 4 when JMM was juiced to the gills.

Morales gave Manny a boxing lesson in that first fight tho.

Would probably be the best series in history and its uncanny that JMMs brother was also in a great series.

                  Terrific fights all of them.

Marquez was a better counter puncher...Morales had better defense...I'd favor Marquez over Morales.
