why dont top level boxers do more can-crushing?

Crushing cans on public broadcasting has to be a great way to increase your following among casuals.
Your able to convince the average Joe youre the next Mike Tyson since most people won't know the opponent you're blasting away never stood a chance in the first place. Free fights get so much more views than PPV, the most watched PPV fight is at 100 Million views while the most watched freely broadcasted fight is at 2 BILLION (half the world population at the time), of course when youre fighting someone your own level you can use these newfound fans to massively boost your PPV sales.
Why cant guys like Spence/Crawford do this? Their fanbase could certainly use a boost

What boxing do y'all watch? Everyone's mostly can crushing. They take six month training camps for weak as **** mandos and only fight like twice a year.

Unis are rare, hell a dangerous contender is rare, undisputed is next to unheard of, and defending undisputed happens as often as planetary alignments happen.

Fighters used to do this a lot more. When titles meant something and were few, most champs would take non-title fights and bust up bums. It helps with highlight reels and racks up more experience. I'm all for it as long as they're defending against a solid foe once a year. And really, I love watching some guys, like Lomachenko. To think he'll end with like twenty fights total sucks. I'd love to see him fight way more times, even against subpar opposition. But it's the modern boxing world. Sucks. Haha.Instead of crushing cans and fighting the best challengers, they face subpar challengers for tin-can titles and end up with a fraction of the fights that older guys have. Pacquaio is a rare thing these days but he was the norm at one time as far as number of fights. And the unbeaten hype train just keeps leading to ****-ups. I'd love to see that end.
