I picked Forrest to win that fight. I think a better fight for this thread is Forrest vs Mayorga. That was a shocker.
What about his time at lightweight?

I don't really think anything of it. Leija and Molina are the only noteworthy guys he fought there and they were both past their best.

I guess Shaq was a decent win.

Fair, I thought he was fantastic at Lightweight, and a decent WW who got a gift win against Oscar.

            1. Mosely Vs. Forrest
Why did Forrest seem to have Mosely's number? I thought clearly Mosely was the superior fighter but I guess not, at least in those fights

            2. Roy Jones Jr Vs Tarver
Again I feel like RJJ was the better overall fighter, what happened?

            3. Bhop Vs Taylor?
C'mon! Bhop dominated the MW division for 10 years straight. Taylor deposed Bhop and then almost immediately flamed out! Wtf?

What do you guys think happened and can you name some more "surprise results" that probably shouldn't have happened?
Tarver was the better boxer, and showed that in three fights. Wasn't a coincidence.

I wasn't surprised that Michael Spinks lost to Tyson.

I WAS surprised at HOW he lost.

You got Mitch 'Blood' Green who wasn't really even that good as a fighter, able to last the full distance on his feet, yet Michael Spinks who was absolutely dominant and skilled, gets sparked out in short order.

Rigo quitting against Loma was a surprise.

Dunno about that one. Broner was undefeated at that time but in my mind he lost to Ponce De Leon and Malignaggi as well. Odds had Broner a clear favourite but I didn’t really see it that way. I thought it was a 50-50 fight and looking back it’s clear Maidana was just a better, more focused, bigger and stronger fighter.

I watched that fight the other day. As soon as Vernon came in with the artist during the ring walk right after getting that 6 fight HBO deal, I knew he was going to have trouble.

He was pressing too hard to impress in front of his home crowd and got drawn into a slugfest.

Pongsaklek Wonjongkam vs Sonny Boy Jaro. I challenge anyone to find one that tops this. Absolutely unbelievable result.
