I'm having a hard time thinking of a world champion with a resume as bad as Wilder's. Fighting unranked fighters when you're 26 fights into your pro career is terrible.

Not a chance dude there have been loads of lesser champions throughout history. Too many to count.

Wilder is definitely up there, though.

You mustn’t know many world champions...

There have been some absolute shockers, Devin Haney is a world champion for example. Who has he beat?

Haney's only 21. Wilder was 29 when he won a title, and his best win at that point was Malik Scott, who took a dive.

              You’re taking about resume.

Age is irrelevant to the discussion.

It is not that good but miles away from being the worst. Think about it. 17 different weight classes and 4 champions in each weight class. Some very average fighters with mediocre records have held world titles even if not for long. Many of them are not as good as Wilder or even close to as good.

Close/almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Not in boxing.

I almost made a career out of boxing but common sense got the better of me.

                    See how that works.
