Comments Thread For: ESPN Team Discusses Fury-Joshua - And Unlikelihood Of It Happening Next

If there's any shred of hope for the heavyweight division to fast forward to an all-British superfight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, it's clear that Deontay Wilder continues to hold the key.

...Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13KOs), the former lineal cruiserweight champion...
I know Usyk as the former UNDISPUTED CW champ.

...Bernardo Osuna, the longtime color commentator.
    What's color commentator?

color means they're only there to be entertaining. They can be useless and crack jokes, they can be former champs and very informative, but their only actual job is to be entertaining.

They are meant to add ****e to the mix, extra, a bit more than technical breakdowns and keeping the show moving.

That other guy is ****ing with you.

Thank you. Comments like the earlier one are why I often despise forum access to home page content.

I tend to differentiate when the role is filled by a former boxer or industry insider, in which case I refer to said person as "Expert analyst" (as I've been doing with Andre Ward, Tim Bradley, Shawn Porter, Abner Mares, et al).

This is getting irritating now, forget about the fight. Get Wilder/Pulev/Whyte/Usyk out of the way. If they get through it all then do the undisputed fight. It’s just too complicated at the moment, even if Wilder/Pulev stepped aside who would be next? Unless the Fury/Joshua winner (NO rematch clause) drops all the belts and Wilder fights for the WBC and Pulev fights for the IBF one, then you would have Usyk and Whyte who have to be next.
