I’m not sure. I envision the number one pound for pound fighter dominating the competition, which has always been my knock on the idea that Canelo is that guy.
Golovkin is clearly not dominating the competition, but he would certainly have an argument. Many people consider Canelo to be that p4p guy now and the series would feel like 2-0-1 Golovkin to the vast majority of those who watched it (assuming a GGG win for this thread’s sake.)
I would say no. I think Jacobs-Canelo-SD-GGG are all about the same level. They’re all very good but not great and will fight close fights against each other.
I would lean towards Inoue who’s never really been challenged. He did show vulnerability in his last fight but I don’t think that fight was close. I think he’s the closest thing we have to a dominant force.
Lomachenko would probably be my next choice, followed by Crawford.
I would just like to see someone actually do something to separate themselves but I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
