  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Paying Wilder, Pulev Step-Aside Money To Allow Fury-Joshua Is Ludicrous

Bob Arum can't envision any scenario in which someone would be able to pay Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev enough money to step aside and allow a Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua fight to happen next.

Bob dont want it. Once again it's people not wanting to face Joshua. Funny cuz i keep hearing Joshua is easy work yet all I hear is other fighters promoters not wanting the work.

"Andy Ruiz is a good kid and he fought most of all of his fights for us. But the fact that he could knock out Joshua says volumes about Joshua. And the rematch that they had, I mean, that doesn’t count. Ruiz wasn’t in any kind of shape. He came in fat, and Joshua was reluctant to engage with him. " - Bob Arum

Of course Pulev is easy work for AJ and Wilder is easy work for Fury. No need to pay these clowns more than they are worth.

Bob Arum is quite the liar. He knows damn well that AJ will dispatch Pulev (albeit in a semi decent match) but he continues to talk as though Kubrat has the better odds. I mean I can't expect him to badmouth his own fighter but come on... Don't talk up his chances like this. Even Kubrat must know that his chances aren't the best.

Um, not a liar, but a promoter. Pulev's promoter.

There's nothing for Bob to step Tyson aside.. For him after the Wilder fight which he sees as huge money, he then has the choice/chance of AJ for another big money fight win, lose or draw...

The risk is on AJ coming through what many see as a dead rubber fight (Inc myself) and we all know what happened last time..

if any party would want anyone to step aside then it's the AJ camp. No doubt there will be a rematch clause incase he loses so in theory, we may not see this fight for a good while...

For me, The next HW fight after these 2 are out of the way has to be a unification bout with the 2 winners whoever they are to at least instill some life into the division because its stale as hell......

lol nobody is scared of marshmallow chin Joshua. There is contracts in place for AJs and Furys next fight. If AJ really wanted undisputed he should’ve paid Povetkin step aside money. Now all of a sudden AJ and his fans know what step aside money means!! Mudda ***in ridiculous!!
