I agree on most of this. Like you, I think the top six or so are pretty even but my first choice would be a Charlo/Rosario unification. You didn’t mention Lara who I believe is still a major force here.

Wouldn’t Charlo/Lubin qualify as a total whip out?

It was a whipout but like i said, hes improved a lot after that fight. he got himself a fight he shouldnt have that early in his career. Charlo was already fighting veterans/better competition before him. Now is a little different and its a fight i think Lubin can win. But well probably never see it..

When you become a champ your mindset changes. As a champ your first priority is securing a fight with the biggest purse. At least that is how the promoter sees it and right now the promoters are in control of boxing not the fighters.

Charlo will never give a rematch because the money simply is not there. The promoter needs something he can promote. A rematch to an opponent he smashed before will not move the needle. Even if the fighter has improved, the casual fan will not be interested in seeing a rematch of a fight that was so one sided the first time out.
