The UK Government issued a 60-page report called Our Plan To Rebuild, which spoke in broad terms about a phased easing of the lockdown introduced to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

You should see the latest press briefing from our PM, ridiculous they initially wanted to try herd immunity (read: kill off the weak ones) and now they’re like **** it, you’ve all had long enough. Let’s get on with it.

The herd logic is still what every country is doing. I haven’t seen a single country which is putting actions in place to stop the virus , they are all reducing the risk of it spreading at speed. Within the UK they have been clear that they think the majority will catch it at some point.

With that said - it starts to become more and more likely that boxing can start from 1st June behind closed doors in the uk but it will be interesting to see what sort of match ups make it. Will any big names want to go behind closed doors?

PPV is interesting too - it could prove really profitable if people haven’t got sport to watch or could swing the other way because people are concerned financially.

I suspect travel restrictions maybe a concern though and will limit some matchups - the quarantine rules being applied also increase the possibility of Joshua fury which can only be a good thing!

They know there's never going to be a vaccine. There's never been a vaccine for any Coronavirus, never for a RNA virus, but the media keep acting like it's a cert. They might as well have asked scientist to build a time machine by November. Could it exist? Maybe, but no reason to think it will.

              Excellent informative and update article.

I hope this plan work and we see the good rivalries between fighters in UK. I miss their atmosphere. This give me hope that boxing is going to begin in June or July.
