Bob Arum hopes his fighters understand that boxing will return to a different economic environment than before the COVID-19 crisis began. Promoters will lose one revenue stream, at least in the short term, because they won't be able make money from ticket sales. License fees from television networks and streaming services could compensate for some of those losses, but Arum won't waste too much time haggling over purses if fighters aren't realistic when the time comes to start scheduling fights again in a post-pandemic economy.

Don't agree with Arum on much, but he's dead on, on this particular subject. Sounds like shots fired at Crawford who's been saying he's not taking a pay cut, and also Lopez who had said he's not fighting without fans. I honestly think this situation is going to be good for boxing, because network's are going to want good match ups if fighters want to fight because the main revenue is going to come from licensing fees and network's are going to want **** for their buck since there is no gate revenue.
