Boxing don't work like that, your Just making allowances and excuses for floyd. Boxing fans like the biggest names to fight each other more than.once.

It don't matter if Floyd won first fight in a life and death battle, or easily don't mean rematch would go same way. Floyd has a lot of critics and doubters so Floyd s got no responsibility to address them?

Pac gave barrera a rematch and beat the biggest name twice, why can't Floyd do it? Would you swear on your life that the Pac v floyd fight had less controversy around fight than pac v barrera? RJJ gave bh rematch!

Stop treating Floyd in kids gloves. Floyd fans say Floyd would beat pac in his prime, or 10 times out of ten? So for gosh sake what's the drama over doing it just twi ce? Same for nelo rematch.
Floyd needed to win rematches to be considered as great as pac. Pac did every thing on grander scale erasing any doubt. With Floyd there lots of asterix and question marks.
Or if he didn't want to rematch Pac and nel o and he knew he was going to retire soon he should want to go out guns blazing and top wins over nel o and fight at 160 against ggg with a "ok I'm ducking nel o and pac but hopefully you'll forgive me by me f ightng even bigger challenge" type approach... Similar to RJJ v ruiz. If your ducking Pac and nelo, fighting berto and Connor is totally opposite what you need to be doing, leaving even bigger question mark?

There's a common theme with anyone Floyd beat. Any pfp quickly dropped from rankings after Floyd beat them, apart from nelo, Pac and jmm.

Which suggests they were overated or at end of career when Floyd beat them. Guerrero wasn't even top 20. Nel o shouldn't have been too 10 also. Nel o was more eye test, but he didn't even satisfy that criteria mostly

I think the point Sunny's trying to make is that if everyone could afford to pay to get who they wanted when they wanted you might see more guys with better resumes. Only few guys in the sport were ever in that kinda position, Oscar, Floyd, Canelo, maybe Manny.

I ain't saying that Floyd did cherrypick FWIW, the term's absurd given the way professional boxing is set up, at least IMO, it's just that resume and opponent selection ain't a level playing field.

That list is exactly why Mayweather was undoubtedly fighter of the decade. He beat 3 people that were top 10 p4p when he fought them. 2 of them were top 3. That's impressive.

When you compare Mayweather to the likes of Tank Davis, Charlo or Wilder then you would wish Mayweather was still fighting now.

At the level that Floyd Mayweather was fighting, you cannot really cherry pick 'But you can be calculated with your moves'.

Tyson Fury for example apart from fighting Wilder has cherry picked his opponents since his comeback 'But if I was a promoter of Fury, I would understand as to why this would be done'.
