  • Comments Thread For: George Foreman: Mike Tyson Can Really Be a Top Contender

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, veteran promoter Frank Warren believes former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson should stay far away from a potential comeback fight. Tyson, 53-years-old and retired since 2005, set the internet on fire when he posted a short video clip to showcase his speed and power.

Well, if anybody can say it - Foreman can.
And let's say being a solid contender is the absolute limit he achieves.

    Even though, then what?
It's not like he can win a title at 53.
Why get your brain bashed out at 53.

every time foreman speaks he surpasses the idiotic things he has said before.
Let’s not forget even though Tyson was a monster in his prime he was well and truly beaten by Danny Williams and Kevin Mcbride of all boxers.
He is 54 years of age in June ffs and foreman is basing that statement on a 5 second twitter video of him working the pads.....the mind boggles

I would like to see Tyson bare knuckle against old UFC has beens, like Ken Shamrock or Chuck Liddel. Exhibition matches against old football players around his age but he doesnt need to be fighting people under 45 at this stage.

Is it time to stick old George in a home? 😆

I would love to see Mike come back for a title match and knockout Fury or Joshua. If Ruiz can do it Mike could work the inside of AJ and knock him out in a round or 2. Anything after 3 it aint happening. Fury would just dance around and his height would allow him not to get hit.

He looks slimmer and in better shape in this pic more than he did his last 5 or so fights.

The biggest fight isn't fury joshua it's Mike and one of the 2.

First you say if anyone can say it foreman can but then dismiss any chance if him winning?

Andy Ruiz beat AJ. Andy Ruiz. Regardless if it was a lucky shot to the temple, you don't think Tyson could walk AJ down and throw combos like Ruiz did and knock AJ out?

Fighting is all they know in their heart, it's their desire, their spirit, their will to be. Just like a 42 year old tom brady, or jerry rice or any athelete not knowing when to quit... And thats the point. Average people quit. These breeds of people don't know what that means... Except if you're AJ and quit in the corner after being knocked down 4 times to a fill in chubby guy.

George thinks everyone can be a champ.

He's such a great motivational speaker, he could talk my grandma into boxing.

I’d really like to believe mike could make some noise, but he’s 53 man. He could maybe look ok for a couple minutes, but no way he could go rounds.
