Comments Thread For: Evander Holyfield Wants To Fight Mike Tyson In Exhibition For Charity

Evander Holyfield is making a return to the ring at the age of 57, and is eyeing a third fight with Mike Tyson in an exhibition boxing match to raise money for his charity, Unite 4 Our Fight. The four-time heavyweight champion and Hall of Fame fighter envisions the encounter to be choreographed for entertainment and not one filled with competition and bloodlust. Holyfield's purpose is to raise money for underprivileged kids, who like himself, did not have the financial means to pursue their dreams in their youth.

I called this a week ago. Great idea. But can these two hold back their competitive juices. Holyfield already talking bout hitting you back hard if he gets hit hard..lol..That warrior spirit is still there. Seems like Holyfield would entertain an actual bout. Imo, Tyson would win the battle on the current geezer circuit. Maybe not against Lennox though - waaay too big

      God NO....

Mentioning it needing to be ok for him financially is also slightly worrying/disappointing about the while "charity" situation.....

Lewis doesn't look to be in great shape anymore though. Tyson looks like he could still go 6 hard rounds.

Mike would walk through a near 60 Holyfield now ,there’s a huge difference between being closer to 50 then 60 . Holyfield has spent most of his money and does you tube interview with Bowe on that kids channel and does some networking but he is not successful like Mike he needs money or wants the same piece of the pie Mike is enjoying .

Really I think big John vs Mike would be more entertaining and unpredictable while John is still standing.

I seen a video not long ago of Lewis throwing a jab at Wilder jokingly and Wilders eyes light up as though his life flashed before him . We don’t know what shape he’s in for all we know he’s also in training behind closed doors . These guys are elite athletes / were , never think they can’t get up for one or two more fights these aren’t average people .

The last line in this article is sad but true. A Holyfield and Tyson exhibition would be a bigger event than most promoters are putting on nowadays WTF

Charity means paying off some of that child support he probably still owes
