Comments Thread For: Spence: We're Making Weight The Right Way, Like When I Was Broke And Hungry

Among the many changes Errol Spence has made in and out of the ring in recent months, is putting himself in the best position to compete at a moment's notice. The unbeaten, unified welterweight titlist has remained in shape ever since fully recovering from injuries sustained in a single car crash last October. The incident took place less than two weeks after his most recent fight, a 12-round split decision win over Shawn Porter (30-3-1, 17KOs) in their Fight of the Year-level war of a unification clash last September. By his own admission, Spence denied himself the opportunity to enter at peak condition due to having to shed so much weight during training camp.

Wow! Errol Spence walks around within the cruiserweight limit. The Light-Heavyweight champs have a easier time making 175 : Sergey Kovalev, Dmitry Bivol, Jean Pascal unofficially walk around 183-188.

Taking the massive weight cuts that Errol puts his body through into consideration, I'm amazed that he can effectively perform at the top level at 147. Errol Spence should be much better at middleweight, but Errol probably should be fighting @ 168 ; Callum Smith and Billy Joe should be easy wins.

He’s making weight like back in the day when he had to get wasted on popov instead of grey goose.

Alcohol is senseless calories & can effect a mans testosterone levels. Its not good for a fighter to drink.

I think if Errol lays off the drink all together his weight will be more stable.

I havent drank in a year and a half. My sunday mornings are much different. I go for a morning jog vs. Nursing a hangover.

You'll be even more amazed when you see Terrance take Errol to deep waters and drown his walrus a**

Not really, I'm team Crawford. I believe Errol Spence will get washed against the 'Best in the world' P4P #1. Terence Crawford.

These reports of Errol's incredible weight-cuts and his new dentures ( a product of a horrific automobile wreck ), suggest that Errol Spence is vulnerable to not only the WBO champ, but Errol is also there for the taking for the legitimate contenders ranked by the IBF-WBC -- Danny Garcia comes to mind.

Spence needs to read information about the benefits of egg yolk available on this secure site: //dranthonygustin.com/egg-yolk-nutrition/

Otherwise he's really missing out on many health benefits.

This virus outbreak was honestly the best thing that could've happened to him. Now everybody is on break.

I feel like I keep reading these same type of puff pieces from Spence's camp. Like THIS time I'm serious or whatever. He could be primed for a spectacular K.O after the head trauma he should get multiple professional opinions if he should even be in the ring but there is money to be made but at what price?
