"Boxing experts speculated that Mayweather, who typically had earned in the low-six figures or mid-six figures for training De La Hoya, demanded that much money because he didn’t really want to go against his son."

If Sr "really" didn't want to go against his son, he would have said fuckin' NO for ANY amount of money!

💯 real. The biggest names that Oscar faced were Tito, Hopkins, Mosley, Mayweather and Pac-Man. He lost all.

I don’t care for Oscar only because he’s turned into Bob Arum but I will put an asterisk on the weight drained fight he lost to Pac.

This isn't news. Floyd sr and Jr weren't getting along at the time but despite that sr said that if he were to train Oscar to beat his son, he'd need to be compensated more than usual. Oscar refused, kept his Coke money, hired roach, and lost.

Well, they were both professionals (Mayweather Sr. & Jr.) The family would have taken home most of the money if Sr. had trained Oscar ... and it's not like Sr. ever expected Oscar to actually hurt Floyd Jr.

How uniques is it that a father & son were both so good they potentially could both be involved in one of the biggest fights?

Oscar loved mayweatyer Sr because oscar is a gay ass sub. He likes to be dominated by strong men. Thats why he gave Bernard a position in his company after Bernard kicked his ass

If its true Floyd Jnr would already know this, all water under the bridge now, it makes Oscar look so shallow.

I remember when sr and jr were arguing on 24/7 and jr tried to twist that situation and say that Oscar left him cause he was a bad trainer. A few days later Oscar came out with an interview saying Sr was the best and Jr was talking *****. That was conveniently at a time when Jr and Oscar were having a feud.
