. That was just lame. Any half-decent fighter would train harder and try to beat them in rematches.

Especially since Pacquio later said he won on a 'tell' and was struggling with Hatton at times in there.
He was a druggie with money mate. That's hes personal life. I do know what it's like getting bashed up in a ring. I don't know what it's like to do it when you really don't need the money lol. But he's career was decent, he, like so many other fighters, should just be appreciated for who they were. They were good, not the best, not elite, but far from embarrassing.

I read his autobiography and like many fighters he struggled to cope with losing. He was a guy who won all the time. He just couldn't cope with not being the best.

Ironically he came to terms with losing - to arguabley 2 of the best fighters ever and then made that ****** comeback against someone far too good to fight in your first fight

You forgot Michael Grant have you? Forgot Jeff Lacy did you? How about old Deontay, another one with a long undefeated record til he met a decent Brit. You lot have 5 x the population of the UK, but you can't even produce a decent heavy. Glass houses and stones spring to mind.
That triangle theory doesn’t work in boxing. You are talking about Tsyu versus other fighters when we are talking about Hatton. Hatton faced an old Tsyu not the one ZAB JUDAH faced. You talk about Junior Witter, do you really think Hatton would have beaten Junior Witter? Why do you think Hatton ducked Witter? At the time Witter was the biggest money fight for Ricky but he ran away like Khan running away from Kell Brook. Hatton wasn’t elite by any chance but carefully matched against has beens. When he faced elite fighters he got knocked out. Both Harris and Sharmba wanted Hatton but Hatton wouldn’t have anything to do with them.

No, i am saying why would Hatton worry about a guy like Mitchell, who had been crushed at lightweight and quit against Tszyu? There was no clamour for Mitchell, nor Harris, who was totally exposed by Witter. The same Witter who was decent but hardly top drawer. Yeah, he may have beaten Hatton, but we'll never know. He certainly showed Harris didn't belong at the top level though. Hatton fought the two best fighters in the world, hardly a ducker, and had a decent career. No everyone is Hagler or Leonard, that doesn't make them crap. I wasn't comparing the Tszyu that fought Zab to the one that fought Hatton. I was saying did that loss make Zab a Bum? A guy coming from a winning streak exposed as he stepped up. I noted there's been plenty of US fighters exposed after long winning streaks, some by UK fighters. Its not an thing exclusive to the UK, save your nation hating and appreciate that some fighters are just good champions who deserve respect despite not being atgs.

He was also practically an alcoholic even during hes career, Mayweather snr said as much. He liked abit of coke too, hes an addictive person who needs a thrill. I think he was better than an average champion, he was certainly exciting, and that style doesn't make for a long career. He wasn't a big puncher, not especially fast, short arms. He did it on work, and heart. Sometimes I think its even more of an achievement when youre not a natural athlete, dont have great speed or lower. He had paper skin too.

You don’t expect us to applaud someone who has 40 fights against a bum do you? Most UK fighters have padded records unlike Fighters from other places. Only Wilder in the USA has a record as bad as UK fighters.

If they don’t rush him then he has a chance, if they go through the greedy Hearn route then he would get KTFO sooner than later.

He was a level above most champions, one of the best punchers of hes day, one of the most exciting fighters of hes day and best paid. He was a star.
Hamed was **** average and he has been smoking too much incense and riding too many camels these days. He needs to shut it.

No one cares about the opinions of a mentally weak idiot. For not even trying to get a rematch with Barrera, he shouldn't have an opinion on other boxers. It's like every bum of yesteryear has a voice now, even the bum like Glenn McCrory.

You've had loads of hype job fighter from the USA. Yours the biggest richest country in the world, five times the size of the UK, and you aint got a decent heavyweight. For every Brit you name with a long winning streak that come unstuck at the top flight i can name you an American who did the same. Some of them like Michael Grant and Jeff Lacey I already named for you. Mclellan was bashing up everyone, til he travelled and ran into Benn. There are loads of boxers from every nation that run up a long record and then lose. How about your man Thurman, who went undefeated til he got bashed up by a 40 year old. How about Broner, who built a record on hype before Maidana, the same guy who Khan beat, put a whopping on him. Forgot about those did you? There's loads from the US, don't let your nationalism blind you.

No, people do care about the opinions of ex champions, who fought in front of millions and mixed with championship fighters in actual fights. They don't pay you all thay money for nothing. What they don't care about is backseat drivers, faceless nobodys on the net who never achieved anything at all in the boxing game. He shouldnt have an opinion, but you do. Who you beat? What title did you hold. Everyone has an option, its just some have been there an done it.
