Wilder Over A Prepared M.Tyson ? Why

Deontay Wilder at elite level does not win rounds, or trouble fighters 'He literally only has a punchers chance in most of his top level fights'. Wilder is a terrible fighter to back head to head in any mythical match up 'A tall fighter with novice-intermediate boxing fundamentals, weak foundation and poor core stability' That is how I would describe Wilder.I was talking about this stage of his life. I think even prime though Wilder is a hard fight for anyone because of that right hand, as well as speed and unusual style. I remember Tyson battering Williams in round 1, no idea how Williams got through that.
It's a shame with Tyson's career as no much was left unanswered, and we can't just assume he would have done this or that. It's like now that Tyson Fury has beaten Wilder, so many other HW and fans are saying now that almost anyone in the top 10 could do that to Wilder, easier said than done. Saying something and planning something is one thing, doing it in the ring is another. Prime Mike was a freak of nature, but we never got the fights we needed during that time/prison time that could have answered everything.
But putting him in with someone like Wilder now, a prime athlete, would be absolute madness and would never be sanctioned, and for good reason.
Mike Tyson in every single fight he was in was able to win rounds, even against Lennox Lewis 'Tyson won the first round with his jab alone'. Wilder quite simply is just a terrible fighter, I give credit to his courage/gameness but deary me 'What a terrible fighter'.
Note: I am not speaking about Tyson fighting Wilder at this stage in his life.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 05-08-2020, 10:24 AM.Comment

Current Mike wouldn’t stand a chance against any decent heavyweight. 30 years ago he would have beaten the current top 3 on the same night.
Joshua in 1
Wilder in 1
Fury in the middle roundComment
