ow wow, danny jacobs. How about the 50 + boxers and trainers who thought Canelo won the rematch?

Can you find more than 50 notable boxers and trainers who thought GGG won the 2nd fight?

Why is GGG seeking out a fight with a polish guy with only 5 ko's? Why won't he give chenko his rematch or fight one of the other top 160 pounders?

It's pathetic. First he fought the 81st ranked middleweight in the world, in steve rolls, now he's fighting a polish guy with only 5 ko's. Since he was 22 years old, Canelo has NEVER fought anyone as unknown as steve rolls or that polish guy.

Canelo's best win is GGG and that fight would've never happened if the first fight would've been called a win GGG which he rightfully deserved only the Nelo nutthuggers think different. Canelo has the contract with DAZN because of GGG he gets the credit he has because of GGG and the so called face of boxing is built on a lie. He lost the first fight plain and simple no matter what the judges say so Canelo wouldn't exist on the level he is without a blatant robbery

Do you not see the irony in GGG fans claiming Canelo is aging G out in a trilogy and then when he’s ready to fight G says he wants wait to another 8 months?

This is the timeline of the latest insane hypocrisy from Canelo fans.

Canelo Alvarez publicly stated he didn’t have interest in a third GGG fight. Canelo fans defended him.

Canelo fought Rocky Fielding, Danny Jacobs and Sergey Kovalev instead of fighting GGG. Fielding is a joke, GGG beat Jacobs and Kovalev is shot. Canelo fans defended these fights over a third GGG fight.

Canelo again publicly stated that he didn’t want to fight GGG. GGG, who only wants the Canelo fight, proactively signed up to fight his next mandatory. His intention was to stay busy while waiting for Canelo and to make sure he didn’t have a mandatory order if Canelo finally accepted an offer.

Canelo agreed to fight Billy Joe Saunders instead of GGG. Canelo fans defended him choosing Billy Joe Saunders over GGG.

Canelo and GGG then agree to a September fight. This causes confusion because of coronavirus and delays to fights that are supposed to come before the third Canelo and GGG fight.

Saunders gets in trouble for a dumb joke. Canelo’s team changes its mind on the Saunders fight and claims to be in wait and see mode on whether they’ll fight Saunders, GGG or someone else next.

Jonathan Banks does an interview and says GGG’s team refused a request from team Canelo to fight immediately after the end of coronavirus.

Canelo fans go insane on GGG. No one can articulate why GGG’s decision to stick to the original plan of fighting Szeremeta before Canelo is upsetting.

GGG confirms what Banks says and the insanity continues.

              So just to recap...

Canelo is allowed to delay the trilogy by four fights. That’s fine.

When Canelo changes his plans and wants GGG to dump a fight he only signed up for because of Canelo’s original plans, delaying the trilogy by one fight is absolutely unacceptable.

So basically Canelo can do whatever he wants, like delay the trilogy by four fights or never have the trilogy, and anything GGG does, like stick to Canelo’s original plan and have one more fight before the trilogy, is awful.

Below everyone will call me an a$$hole and mock GGG without ever addressing the hypocrisy or explaining why it’s upsetting that GGG-Szeremeta comes before Canelo-GGG 3.
Canelo never said he wouldn't fight him. He said that fight is settled in his mind but if he wants another fight he'll fight him if the money is right. DAZN got the money right and he agreed to fight him.

You GGG fans are the ones who've been begging for this fight. You should be upset with GGG for turning it down. He's the reason you all aren't getting the trilogy

It's kinda like saying BREAKING NEWS: PLANS CONTINUE AS BEFORE!!!

Course if Golovkin did screw Szeremeta out of his payday and camp fees etc (as Saunders did to Martin Murray) then the same folk would be calling him a cunt for that instead - and rightly so in my eyes. Hell another few months after that we'd be hearing how Golovkin's so shit he was even ducking Szeremeta.

Canelo also agreed to fight a different opponent but since those fights were postponed Canelo agreed to fight GGG next.

Canelo didn't screw him out of any fight expenses. The fight didn't have a date so they hadn't started training

DAZN and GBP lost money on the Fielding and Kovalev fights. Now, they need a marquee opponent who can still cover Canelo's guaranteed $35M purse and restore the money they lost from those last fights. GGG is the only opponent they can match against to bring in that revenue. The well of talent and PPV-level opponents has run dry. They need GGG.

That's between Canelo and Saunders surely? I wouldn't hold Canelo at fault if he'd decided to go ahead and fight Saunders, why, in principle, am I gonna hold Golovkin to blame for choosing to abide by his agreement with Szeremeta? I ain't arguing it's a worthwhile fight, quite the contrary, there's at least a half dozen I'd prefer GGG tried to make but he didn't, but having made that decision I ain't seeing that what Canelo does or doesn't do is particularly relevent.

In fact when Saunders let down Murray I was very deeply critical of him, and though I will acknowledge the circumstances are slightly different given the enforced hiatus I'd argue the same principle applies. I don't always succeed but I try not to be too much the hypocrite..

Because he's the mandatory and he didn't want that to interfere with his selection of opponents when Canelo said that the third fight was no go. Hes sticking to the plan because Canelo twice held up fights with Golovkin. Once when he broke his word to the WBC and dropped his belt thereby screwing the WBC, Golovkin fans, Golovkin, Golovkin's plans going forward, his own fans and giving boxing a black eye. The second time by ******ly failing his drug test thereby screwing vacationers, Vegas, Golovkin fans, Golovkin, Golovkin's plans going forward, his own fans and giving boxing a black eye. Failing to meet his contractual obligations or this word are common occurrences with Canelo. He may have to look for another opponent if Canelo changes his mind yet again and not taking care of his mandatory proactively could be a problem.
