At this point, Munguia-GGG would be a fight that makes more sense.

The boy’s still green. Take it easy before calling the big boys. There are levels to this game and Canelo would destroy you.

I don't get why Golden Boy is pushing to build this fight up.

I rarely state that a fight between 2 current champions is a mismatch but from every scenario I can imagine this is a giant mismatch. Other than being a little taller than Canelo, Munguia would get either immediately stopped or severely beat down.

Stylewise, skillwise, and talentwise Canelo is far beyond whatever level Munguia is currently on.

Would this be considered a cherrypick by Canelo ?

most trainers talk shlt when it comes to opponent selection

but Reynoso was 100% on the button with his comment...

"Jaime lacks the experience to face Saúl. He is a disciplined fighter who is just coming up. He has a very good coach, Erik [Morales] is helping him, he brings a good promoter, so little by little he is going to go very far, but a confrontation with Saúl would not suit either of them,” Reynoso told ESPN. “He needs more maturity, more experience and apart from that we are about to go up to 168. It will be a difficult thing to face him."

there is literally no reason for that fight to ever happen

right now, those guys are on different levels

Munguia would need to show significant progression to become a worthy opponent

Golovkin would fight him in a heartbeat LMAO

No chance Munguia is ready. Canelo would beat him like a rented mule and he would achieve nothing from beating him. Canelo would school him like Floyd did him.

Munguia has some potential but he got outboxed pretty badly by Dennis Hogan so I'm sure Canelo would destroy him now

Yet people were all watering their diapers when floyd fought Canelo. Exact same scenario. Not saying you... but tons of people were that hype!!!
