I would still pick Horn whip Berto's ass though.
I’m fine with fighters having lighter touch between harder/bigger fights

manny’s run from DLH to Hatton to Cotto to even Clottey was respectable. 3 good opponents in a row

But Vargas to Horn to Shot Lucas to Broner was the low point in manny’s career

That’s four very carefully matched opponents in a row

Pac was 38 at this stage with 25 more fights than floyd. Floyd was fighting kickboxers after Pac fight.
The standards for Pac are higher people kept getting reminded of it, intentionally or not!

Carefully matched for a guy pushing 40? Vargas was the WBO champ, that fight was for a title and Pac was only a +150 favorite. Horn was Arum's doing and a dirty, ugly performance by Horn who entered the fight as a SMW. Lucas was shot but no one knew which version was showing up, he's also younger than Pac, Manny was only a 2-1 favorite. Broner was a risky fight. Ten years younger, still in his prime, and a lot of posters on here were predicting a Broner win. A lot more predicted a Thurman win.

Pac was a -900 favorite against vargas

How was Broner in his prime when he was on a two fight winless streak? Do you even know what the word "prime" means ??

This is why you guys are called p@ctards

Broner was still in his physical prime. If you knew anything about boxing I wouldn't have to point that out to you.

No other 40+ year old fighter in recent history has taken on a better fighter than Thurman going into that fight. Hopkins beat Pavlik and Cloud who were not on Thurman's level.

Only fighters Floyd defeated at 40 or over was 0-0 McGregor and that Japanese featherweight, LMAO! Now go ahead and name all of the "prime" fighters Floyd defeated who were at their very best when they fought him.

See, this just shows how dumb you are. You think age is the only thing that determines prime. I guess fernando vargas was in his prime at 28 years as well? Nope, he was washed up by that age

Here is the definition of "prime" - a state or time of greatest strength, vigor, or success in a person's life.

How was Broner in the "prime" of his boxing career when he was on a 2 fight winless streak? How was Thurman in his "prime" when he almost got stopped by Lopez in his first fight back from a 2 year layoff due to injuries?

You don't know what the word "prime" means. oh, and mayweather beating pac in 2015 is better than pac's win over thurman by default. You need to be smarter than this

This is how dumb you are...you couldn't answer simple questions pose to you. I don't think age is the only indicator of someone's prime, but that notion would blow up any name you try to list as being "prime" when they fought Floyd. Keep in mind, we're talking about elite level fighters in their prime, not the cherry-picked flat-footed brawlers like Guerrero, Ortiz, Baldomir, Berto, etc. Manny fought Floyd past his own prime (17 more fights that aged him beyond Floyd's two year age difference) and with an injured shoulder. Garbage "win". Have fun with that one casual!

This idiot tried to act like pac fought a "prime" Thurman and Broner, and once he gets proven wrong he just brings up floyd.

The injured shoulder excuse is still running strong despite the fact he was swinging it all night. I guess Pac's wins over Bradley and THurman are "garbage" as well because both of them had injuries in their losses to pac ..

When confronted with Facts, this idiot ignores it and tries to change the topic. Pathetic

Pac was the real paper champ from 09-15, that's why he wasn't lineal at welterweight and super welterweight back then genius.
