Comments Thread For: Bellew: Usyk Is Brilliant, But He'll Have Problems With Chisora's Pure Physicality

Tony Bellew is as familiar as anyone with Oleksandr Usyk's uncommon technical capabilities. The former undisputed cruiserweight champion eventually picked apart Bellew and stopped him in the eighth round in November 2018. Their fight for Usyk's IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO titles was close entering that fateful eighth round, but the left-handed Usyk blasted Bellew with a straight left hand that sent Bellew to the canvas and abruptly ended their scheduled 12-rounder at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

I thin Usyk will have some of not alot of success as a heavyweight but he will take a few losses along the way. Itll probably be the people we least expect too that catches him. Just my 2 cents.

Usyk has been sparring heavyweights for years now. He dealt with legitimate big heavyweights at the WSB, back when their heavyweight division was 200lbs+ and not the current amateur limit (cruiserweight). I don’t think he’ll struggle as much as people think. All these saying “Usyk can’t fight at heavyweight, he’s a cruiserweight, Chisora will bully him like Fury did Wilder”...will switch to saying...”Chisora was shyt though. He never really had much chance against Usyk. Just wait until he fights a real heavyweight!” Lol

Boxing wise Usyk would take him to the cleaners. However Deks frame will make it tough for him to steam roll although I'm sure Usyk has done preparation for this division for a while. I think Usyk will win late on or by UD. Deks best chance is going for an early K.O/stoppage.

As much as sparring is sparring, it'll be interesting how he takes a big punch in a proper heat of the battle bout...

Usyk is a much better boxer than Chisora, but Chisora hits harder and has a massive advantage in body strength, Chisora is physically very strong. I thinks it's the ideal test to see if Usyk can go anywhere near the Champions at HW.

Couldn't agree more. He had led Joyce just fine, and in terms of strength, there's not many heavyweights like Joe. After watching Chisora get outboxed by Kabayel, I've no idea why anyone should think Usyk should struggle with him. Bet you any money Chisora comes in fat as a hog anyway. He rarely seems to get the gravity of the situation. He's gonna get hes ears boxed off.

Is Chisora more physical than Joyce? Not sure.

Also you need to factor in Del Boys disliking of southpaw's.

You feel as though Del Boy needs to start fast.

On paper at least this looks a better match up for Usyk than Chisora.

I strongly disagree with this and see it being brought up by fighters and ex fighters alike.

Del has put together some solid wins recently. His retreat to the ropes and fight it out strategy just wont wash with Usyk.

The punch variety, feints and angles will be too much and i expect to see a ruthless TKO finish from Usyk. It will be Brutal.

I agree with Big Tone. Chisora might give him issues with his strength if he can get to him. Could walk through Usyk's best shots.
