This is precisely the reason lucifer hearn has found it so hard to get PBC fighters to commit to him...:they don’t want promoters because they set up their own companies to promote the individual fights when they are signed by haymon and his crew. They have a manager/advisor to make the fights and then they themselves promote it through their businesses. This is what floyd learned with haymon and why he kicked spatula drag queen to the curb

Also, the feeling is mutual bc Mayweather has always taken personal shots at Oscar also & has always stated in those promos & in interviews very openly that he doesn't like Oscar either. They just put aside their petty personal beef & make money together. You don't mix business matters with personal matters. MOE.

Maybe so but I’m going to go with the notion that Floyd didn’t know any better. There are a lot of promotion banners out there and for him, Oscar seemed more trust worthy than all the others. Especially because they both had the same issues with Top Rank.
I don’t think Floyd is business savvy as he likes people to believe. He could have kept millions of dollars for himself if he had the smarts to promote himself.

As Floyd said it’s hard to respect a man that dresses in fishnets and commits adultery and does drugs then hates on anyone and everyone else instead of looking in the mirror. Oscar is a jealous hypocrite and has been embarrassing himself in a major way in recent years. I wish him the best but it’s been very hard to respect him for a long time now. He’s a hater and an embarrassment.

Oscar should be grateful to Canelo because apart from him who does Golden Boy really have? I read something recently that there basically losing money on almost every fighter except him.

He worked with Schaffer at GB and paid them a flat fee to promote his fights at the time he didn't have his own promoter license. Floyd was still taking in all the money from all the fight revenue, GB was just getting a lil piece of the pie while Floyd took pretty much all of it.

I don’t know the details but a flat fee could still be a couple of millions. But I didn’t Floyd didn’t have a promoter’s license then.
It was Ellerbe’s job to protect Floyd’s investment as the CEO.

💯 real. After going through what he went through with Arum and as a former fighter unlike King and Arum, one would think Oscar would be good for boxing and boxers BUT he is no different and I agree, he’s worse.

The biggest sore loser and scum just like Arum.
