Rematch with Ruiz was supposed to hammer in the final nail in AJ's coffin. Especially since AJ didn't wait it out.

    Not exactly what happened

After Deontay Wilders loss to Tyson Fury and reading so many similar articles the following quote comes to mind: -

"The time may have come to say goodbye to Muhammad Ali, because very honestly, I don't think he can beat George Foreman."

      —Howard Cosell

Any time you have a famous and much revered sports analyst who is supposed to be without too much bias swinging so far in one direction that he is almost giving a eulogy to the predicted loser of the fight, the perceived loser of the hypothetical fight has to be a true underdog.

Muhammad Ali was in fact a true underdog going against the biggest and most vicious rising star of the decade, George Foreman. The man was wiping out men Ali struggled with in a mere two rounds. Ken Norton and Joe Frazier didn't make it out of the second round.

Ali was believed to be playing with fire, but he didn't get burnt. In fact, he put out the fire. The flame that was George Foreman was humbled in defeat and Ali etched himself further into immortality by defying the predictions of even his toughest critics.

I'd like to see him stop dubois just to take the smug smirk off Warren's face.
Joe is a big step up from Fujimoto.

Lmao! Fury has gained so many bandwagon fans.. Everyone is now suddenly so brave.. Last time I checked Dubois isn't 6'9" and nothing like fury experience wise. If he fights Wilder he goes to sleep.. Just like everyone else.. but I still want to see it no doubt.. Because im a fan of the sport! Also dubois better worry about my boy joyce.. Before he gets juggernauted! Lol. As for Wilder and Fury.. I can't wait for the Trilogy.. I predict that after Furys complete destruction.. All of these fighters will go back to the drawing board.. And Furys fairweather fans will simply jump ship! I don't care if Fury or Wilder gets KOd again.. (Yes Fury was Ko'd in the first fight) see I'm a fan of both.. So I can be honest.. An a true fan of boxing of the sport! Any true fan wants to see how the other fighters will deal with either of the two best heavyweights on the planet.. Anybody claiming they don't want to see them anymore is not a true fan of the sport. Period!

Yes, yet Warren appears to be firmly in dubois camp despite also being Joyce's promoter.

This is ******. Wilder loses 1 fight and now everyone will beat him. AJ loses 1 fight and everyone will beat him.

Lockdown is leading to this idiotic thinking. Dubois would get smoked. He's had how many fights and against who?

              Go lay down Warren.

But you never know, the thinking is fury ruined him.
Wilder fought bums but stepped up in class and beat stiverne and then ortiz.

What do you want Peter Fury?! This is a Deontay Wilder - Daniel Dubois thread. Are you jealous that this fight draws so much interest and that Tyson is not getting any shine?
