McDermott and Wallin beat Fury in eyes of some boxing fans, so why pretending like nobody from the past would stand a chance against Fury?

Again, I like Fury`s style, he is the best hw now in my book, I think he beats Joshua, but top 10 ever? Not even close.

Even more, I think maybe even Parker or Ruiz would have a chance to beat him.

I think head to head I see a lot of top 10 heavies having issues with the combination of size and ability. He does blow a little hot and cold, but then again so did Ali.

I dont think he is the greatest ever, no shot. Most likely wont have the competition to prove it either. But he is a massive problem for any heavy for any era, and I think he would probably dominate some great ones. The size factor is important.

All of these guys are 1-2 loses away from disappearing 'In today's culture? If you are winning, you are the best thing since sliced bread' Tyson Fury is winning, so people will kind of get carried away 'It is only natural'.

In corny ass atg discussions I get why folks like Fury's chances, but it's not like it's a new thing to hype the best guy of the day as the best guy ever. It's boringly predictable actually. In 20 years there'll be some new HW folks will proclaim is the best there was, is or ever will be. Yawn.

As a fan of Fury, it is very difficult sometimes to not get s hit on for not licking his as*, its like some Joshua fanboy, if you don't pick their man then you are a hater. I critic Fury like i do anyone in boxing.

Beating Wilder doesn't make you an ATG, but it add to his resume of beating hyped up boxers in their backyard. Fury ended the reins of Wladimir like he did with Wilder, but we need to be careful how we compare the current HW to those who actually achieved a lot more.

I mean pre-the Fury fight some people were telling us how Wilder has better power than Tyson, power against who? Tyson was beating top 5 contenders in his early 20s. What was Wilder's best KO win? Ortiz!!! Which says it all, so before we say Fury beats Ali, lets judge that at the end of his career.

Nobody throughout boxing history has the combination of Fury's physical attributes, skillset & boxing IQ.

He's almost the complete fighter, and at his best is visually better than anyone else currently boxing in the HW division.

People can bring up Wallin and the McDermott fight that happened a decade ago, but they're clutching at straws.

Fury was at his worst against Wallin, weight drained & suffered one of the worst cuts I've ever seen, and yet still won pretty much every round, that performance showed that A) He's a warrior and B) He can adapt to difficult situations in the ring.

Wallin isn't a bum either, he's a 6ft5 southpaw with a decent engine and decent skills.

If Fury isn't fit and prepared, yes he's beatable, but if he's at 100%, very few boxers from any era could handle him.

I would struggle to think of one all time top 20 heavyweight would would be outboxed dropped and bullied by little Steve Cunningham for so many rounds. If Cunnngham had been in better condition he may well have won the fight as it is he run out of steam and was KOed with a very dodgy punch. Fury is a very decent fighter and deserves sensible praise, but descriptions of him as an ATG are nonsense at this stage. If i am honest i hope he cleans up the division and stays champion for years a cements his place among the greats because he is good for boxing, sadly i suspect it will all come crashing down against Joshua who i think will have enough skill, power and strength to put Fury away inside 5 rounds.

Let me help you. wasnt ali close to being stopped against a guy that weighed 175 lbs and already had 8 losses on his record? and only survived due to smelling salts and extra time cause his trainer cut his gloves open? so wtf are you talking about. Fury got dropped, got up after 5 seconds and beat the **** out of cunningham. prime foreman lost to some random guy. lennox lewis got caught and koed. wladimir lost to some massive underdogs, tyson lost to buster douglas etc. You obviously didnt try hard ernough, or you just dont know much about the past HWs
