Actually I liked Floyd a lot until he scheduled this fight which is indefensible. Say whatever you want about Cory Spinks but he poses no threat to Mayweather. He can't punch and Mayweather can't be outboxed. Spinks was supposed to be killed by Mayorga and then he wouldn't be where he is today. Instead Mayorga got 2 point deductions that cost him the fight. He barely beat Zab Judah the first time and then got KTFO by him in his next big fight. He then moved up and pulled out the most narrow of decisions in the most shameful possible way. If you call that deserving to fight who many believe to be the #1 p4p fighter in the sport then we will just have to agree to disagree. Furthermore I have always liked Margarito as an exciting prospect because of his power and his high punch output. And I agree that Clottey is a crappy opponent that he will walk through. He should have at least attempted to fight Baldomir to become the recognized champ at 147. That would mean everybody at 147 would have to go through him so no more ducking. But again I will criticize evenly on both sides and this time you can't defend Floyd.
