The vast majority had Froch as the underdog in this fight.

It was a vicious and brutal one sided beatdown by Froch.

Froch was saying this to anyone that would listen as soon as the fight was over.

Great win for Froch though it really put his career back on track. Andre ward should’ve went after bute after winning the super six imo

Everyone had Froch as the underdog. Bute looked flawless up until that fight. People won’t do it now, knowing how things turned out, but if they watched some of his old dominant performances then they will understand where the hype came from. He was creative, fast, strong, you name it.

This was exactly why Ward didn’t fight Bute. Because Bute let ward do all the heavy lifting in the super six while he was unproven and took the easy route.

Is Bud Crawford the new Lucien Bute? Is Shawn Porter Bud Crawford’s Carl Froch?

Wish I bet money on the fight.

The people that know boxing knew that he looked impressive against weaker opposition when the real contenders were doing round robins.

No, Crawford is proven and avoided at welterweight( bute stood and traded with froch and paid the price)....however porter is a top class welterweight, just Crawford wouldn't play to porters strength like bute did with froch

Pity that Bute was not in the super six and he was the unknown unproven champ that looked good in his victories.

When he stepped it up he lost. In no way the fight against Jack was a draw when they scored it.

I did want him to face more competition at 168 but most were tied up in the tournament

Exactly. Yusuf Mack ? Really ?? He is reaching big time with every name mentioned in that statement!

ward didnt fight him because ward was scared. stop the BS. it was a career high payday against the #1 guy in the division. there is no excuse not to take that fight. ward tried to fight a shot pavlik and dmitri sartison but he couldn't fight bute? please. bute wasnt even invited to the super six anyway so that argument makes no sense.
