From my experience it tends to be the younger “fans”. Guys who didn’t follow boxing before Hearn came on the scene. I do think us northerners see through the patter and the bullsh** a little better.

It’s crazy though- as you said some of them idolise him. They take his world as gospel. I call it the cult of Hearn myself.😂

I don’t know who that guy is but I must have blocked him pretty early. Some people you just can’t interact with on the internet because all they want is negative attention from and seek out arguments with grown men. It’s odd actually. I Red you’re posts in this thread and clearly you are right. Wouldn’t worry about the Hearn minions

I’ve been saying that for years now, Hearn has built his following off people who are more into an event or a show than who actually are true boxing fans. You can see that on here because they never mention any boxing that took place prior to joshua and Hearn. What sets the boxing fan apart from any other fan of any sport is the immense knowledge and respect they have for the history of the sport going back to the Owen Morans, the Jack Johnson’s, the Kid Chocolates, the Jim Jeffries, the Gene Tunney’s, the Fitzsimmons, the Greb’s, the Saddlers, and on and on.
Can you ever imagine having a conversation about any boxer from 1890 to 2000, IN DEPTH, with one of these Hearn bot types? Therein lies the truth of that fan base.
And yes, of course, you hit the nail on head about the south....couldn’t stop a pig in a ginnel

Yeah spot on... Hearn relies on that casual fan base. The guys who go the boxing for a smart photo on Instagram, to have a few pints and a few lines in the toilets. I try to avoid Matchroom shows for that reason tbh.
