I hear it often when they justify their guy taking an easy fight.

You mean the concern has to be across the board not just for your favorite fighter. Bums are humans too, right? It may be an easy fight for your guy, but it's a super fight for the other guy, who usually gets paid a 10th of the favorite's paycheck.

And lets not look down upon the rest of society people are risking their lives everyday, EVERYONE has a story to tell, everyone has a fight in which they are fighting.

Boxers are so vividly Showing admirable traits, that do deserve Respect and Appreciation 'That is why I watch the sport, that is why I don't really criticize them so much'.

The greatest champions in boxing always gave you the sense, that they where fighting for more than just themselves, more than money 'Muhammad Ali was the best representation of this, as Muhammad Ali believed in something greater than what was happening inside of the ring.

Note: At the end of the day, boxers are risking their lives and they do inspire people within their lives 'Because on a primal level, we all understand that you have to fight through life' that is why in this time of sophistication/safety, people are still drawn to boxing 'Boxing is symbolic to life itself'. As a combat sport boxing has that fine balance, the violence yet there are rules 'A sport born out of romance and gentlemanly behavior'.

You're still not getting it bro. Billions of people manage to put food on their families' table without getting into the ring. What makes you think it's not possible for anyone of these fighters?

Like he said, these fighters are not held at gunpoint. They can always find regular jobs like billions of people do.

            Save the sentimentality somewhere.

There is a personalism to it I don't feel. It's not that I don't give a **** if a man dies in the ring, I just don't feel like if I hadn't been a fan he wouldn't have died.

Dudes sign them fights...that's on them.

They even make fun of how cheap they get paid. The putting-their-lives-on-the-line went out the window all of a sudden.

They literally risk their lives every time they step in the ring.

I thought the Patrick Day, Dadashev and Westgarth incidents might have wisened people up. Obviously not...
No they don't you dullard. It has a 0.13 per 1,000 death rate which is lower than innumerable regular jobs.

I understand and I get all the points made here. But if you want to criticize boxers for saying they risk their lives and hate how they adjust their career to maximize health...then we have to criticize soldiers, police officers, and firefighters. I’d love for anyone to tell those family members when their loved one dies in battle or burns up in a house fire that they should’ve chose another career.

The point is, not everyone is forced at gunpoint into a profession but some people have the balls to and most of us don’t. So I’ll never tell a fighter or any of the professions above how they should carry out their career. As much as I’d like to.
