I don’t even remember that game. Was that GameCube exclusive or something?

The first four Knockout Kings could be played on playstation and xbox but the last edition (2003) was only available on GameCube for whatever reason. It was great for me though cuz I only had gamecube back then.

I never had the GameCube. Was always a Sony guy. PS1 was my first console. The first boxing game I played was the one with Roy Jones on the front think it was the first fight night game.

Would love to see EA or 2K try and make a modern boxing game.

No new boxing game from EA at least..

Eddie Hearn said a week or two ago that he spoke to game companies about making a new boxing game and EA said they have no interest in making any more boxing games

I think the UFC series has replaced the fight night series.

With Hopkins, I would fight in his style.
Lose the 1st 2 rounds, slow em down, frustrate them, and drag em into the deep water.
I could even time my elbows with the bell to avoid the point deduction.

I enjoyed the Storyline on Fight Night Champion. Some great characters in Isaac Frost and Andre Bishop.

I always felt a modern boxing game would struggle with: image rights, having multiple fighters from different promotional outfits and dealing with various governing bodies and belts. Hopefully it can be fixed but I think EA have persisted with UFC games due to there being only one* governing body and franchise making the roster and image rights issues really simple to fix.

Hahaha yeah I used to always throw the head-butt on the bell. I was too aggressive a lot of the time, if the fight went deep I’d drain my stamina too much.

                    Great memories...
