Because for once Spence looked ordinary. Don't matter if Porter and Manny are different. Porter - dogged, spirited, very tough - is not a special fighter in any way. In fact, if we accept Porter ain't in Manny's league (even at 40) then how could it not give Manny a boost?

Styles make fights, Spence and Porter are huge, better skilled, younger versions of Margarito. Both beat Manny, both stop a 40 year old Manny.

I agree, pac was just so much better than porter and pac will make spence look like margarito in the ring.

The best thing that ever happened to Margarito was he didn’t fight Floyd. He got more praise for that than anything he ever did in the ring.

Although Porter isn’t as skilled or accomplished as Manny he has the strength to test Spence physically. Something that the undersized Manny couldn’t do, at least not at this age.

I think that's a fair point. Can't argue with that. Porter is a bull, but I just feel a little bit of Spence's aura was removed by Shawn.
