Love him or hate him. Holyfield was the man. Great fighter great warrior.
Holyfield actually has the most famous resume at hw ever

If we’re talking about famous people on resumes, and I assume we’re talking about pop culture icon status, Holyfield is first and Ali is second.
That’s because Mike Tyson and George Foreman are far and away more famous than everyone else in boxing. So really everyone who beat those two has to be considered. Holyfield is the only one to beat them both.
That being said, I’m going to mention Lennox Lewis. He beat Tyson, Holyfield (who is also very, very, very famous and a pop culture icon) and Tommy Morrison (great white hope and rocky movie).
I’m also going to mention Larry Holmes. He beat pop culture icons Ali and Butterbean, he beat a great white hope in Gerry Cooney and also a collection of famous boxers like Norton, Shavers, etc.Comment

what I really like about this thread... it is completely different to recent similar threads about Pacquiao and Golovkin... this thread keeps it 100% real
there has only been one thing mentioned in this thread for Holyfield.... NAMES !
this is a no-bullshlt thread, dudes are keeping it real
not one ass-clown has whipped out his box of nameless achievements (bullshlt).... like everyone does with Pacquiao, when trying to equate him with Mayweather... and like everyone does with Golovkin, when they are trying toequatepretend that Golovkin is great
like I always said...
WHO did you beat... with consideration given to when/how
nothing else matters
there is no bullshlt with Holyfield, and with Holyfield fans... like there is with Pacquiao, and Pacquiao fans LMAO... and like there is with Golovkin, and his shabby fanbase
names are the only thing you mention, if you intend to talk about greatness
sitting there wowing about the names a fighter beat is how you revere true greatness... adding in wank and dribble that is not criteria for greatness... is how you fanboy a fighter, and embarrass yourself... and look, there are no arguments in this thread, because you cannot argue about the only facts that matter
to summarize... threads about guys like Holyfield are smaller... but 100% real, and totally bullshlt-free...
WHO did you beat... with consideration given to when/howComment
