TBCB prediction for Ruiz Joshua 1 & 2

I ran a few sim fights for a fantasy super six in another thread and was asked to run some fights that have already happened to see the sim's accuracy. Because bout logs are quite long I've made this new thread sos I don't jam up the original thread with my very long posts.

Some people criticize the sim because you can get just about any outcome you want it to show if you're a bit of a lair. You have control over things like conditioning. Given this was to go for accuracy I'll show you guys the first runs under different conditions.

    Run 1

marchegianothats crazy . Pretty cool how close it is . Thanks for doing that for me . Where do you get this sim program ?? Would be awesome to do some MM on this thing. One question I have is how does it know about each fighter ?? Are they already programmed into it ?? Or do u have to program the fighters into it yourself?? Or do u just get to pick from whatever fighters are already on the sim ?? You should run wilder vs Joshua for ****s on this thread and see what it comes up with . That fight has prolly been the most devated on these boards over the last year or so .

Tried to tag you without quoting the whole sim notes but I'm just not sure how to do it or if that worked haha little help please if that didn't do the trick and just put your username in red LOL

        No problem bud

To tag it's @ symbol followed by the username with no space between the @ and the name.

TBCB is Title Bout Championship Boxing. It's based on guys like Billy C, you know International Boxing Research Organization fellas, and if I'm not mistaken the D&D D20 system. It's a mix of boxing experts and game creators come together to make a boxing sim serious enough for respected historians to use it. No one puts a ton of weight on a sim of course, but, they do use it.

I apologize for not explaining before, I forget sometimes not everyone knows what TBCB stands for.

It is not a free program unfortunately, but, I'm pretty sure I paid ten bucks for two lifetime keys. I gave my extra away years ago otherwise I'd give it to you.

Personally I refuse to create fighters. I don't trust myself to not allow my own bias. The TBCB creators make fighters and release them in something called their datapool. You can download them through the program just by updating your roster. It's super easy to do, but also, super hit and miss. I'd run just male HWs a few times before I felt like I have all the news from the pool. It'll skip a few just about every time for some reason. I'll update and it'll tell me 35 new fighters added. Then I'll update again and it'll say like 4 fighters added, then again and I'll get that much wanted 0 fighters added. Easy, but a pain.

I don't want to make a fighter and mess up my accuracy

Some guys are a little bit harder to get, the newer HWs and stuff like that can be a pain because it does take them a while to create new fighters, test them, and release them into the system. You can go to their forums, both TBCB's website, and out of the park, the owners of the game before 2013, and they too have a few guys who have continued to work on the game and you can download their fighter files and import them directly. Also, if you get pissed off at the auto download and import function from the datapool not being great you can, through those forums, connect to the datapool yourself and download the files yourself and import the files yourself. Usually I just run the pool until it give me a 0 update though.

Which also means anyone I have that you don't can be exported from my TBCB and uploaded some place then downloaded by you and imported into your TBCB pretty easily.

The fighters are connected to Boxrec to keep up with how they change. Editing generic photos out so that an actual photo is as simple as naming the photo properly and dropping it into the folder. For example, when you install TBCB it'll create a folder in your documents. If you go into that, data, images, and fighters, then name a photo of AJ Joshua_Anthony, which is how he's named in the sim, then when you select Joshua you'll see him in the tale of the tape. Same for ring girls, the venue, all of it.

I have no problem running Wilder-Joshua, just give me a bit of time to get to it and I'll up it here.

Some people criticize the sim because you can get just about any outcome you want it to show if you're a bit of a lair. You have control over things like conditioning. Given this was to go for accuracy I'll show you guys the first runs under different conditions.

They actually have it in app form. You can use a phone or tablet or whatever. I think it's both android and itunes, but, I'm on the opposite end. I hardly touch my phone and do everything on a PC so I don't know much about that version of the sim

                Glad you enjoyed it bud.

Just to clear, cause it does kinda look like I'm pushing the sim, I make no money off them. I'm just a guy who had it who did a few and got requested to do more.

Ain't not real boxing anyway, I'm going to run some fantasy tournaments this evening. I'll share those too.

It is a lot of reading

Some voice acting would be really cool....I'll see if I can't crack that and maybe some you guys can lend some voices.

he kills it . Pretty amazing how close the results ended up being hey ?? This was a sample run to test the accuracy . Worked out pretty damn good . Marchegiano puts the work in for sure . He's got me some great sources and dove deep into the heavyweight title lineage as well for me . Like Iam talking DEEP into the lineages , back to ancient Rome and Greece etc . I didn't even know the sport went that far back ( granted back to times when it was a totally different sport, when they used weapons[ I think , i haven't got quite that far back yet ,iam talking like before Jesus far back ] and grappling etc .).totally schooled me on lineage to a level I had no clue existed , like back to biblical times .

He's gonna run Joshua vs wilder for me when he has time . Figured now we know it runs fairly accurate would be cool to see how the sim portrays that match up since it has been the topic of so many debates etc on these forums ( fuuk just in general with the boxing public haha ) .
