Will Long Lay-off Affect manny in Next Fight

With way things are going it’s likely the 41 year old boxer will be out of the ring for more than a year in his next fight

Do you see this time away having any affect

I don't think so. He had shoulder surgery and had a year lay off going into the fight against Tim Bradley but he looked like million bucks in there.

I think Manny is experienced enough that 1 year lay doesn't affect him, but a 2 year lay off though affects him though.

Yeah possibly... at 41 it will be a lot harder to shake the rust off.

Agreed but that was also 4 years ago which can be quite telling at mannys age with as many fights as he's had etc .

Not a fighter of this level, he dont need fights he only needs to stay in shape thats what stops rust.

The very best only fight once maybe twice a year anyways.

Great fighters usually don’t show ring rust.

                  Father-time waits for nobody...

I think it could possibly affect him. Depends how focused he is really.

Hes 41 and hasnt had a break like foreman, eventually he will be too old to be competitive, we will have to find out.

I thought he looked better in the Thurman fight than the Broner fight. Broner fight he looked like his timing was slightly off, Thurman fight he looked great.
