I doubt either boxer would step aside, Wilder has to save face, his ego is truly hurt, he doesn’t know what it feels like to lose as a pro nor does he know what it feels like to unify a title, he would never be allowed to take a step aside payday.
Pulev himself wouldn’t allow it too, even if his promoter wanted him to. He was meant to fight for the title in 2017 but got injured. So he would definitely go through with it, especially because he is getting up there in age.
Am going to see this next fights as a tune up for both Fury and Joshua, hoping they both come through it so that we can get the undisputed fight that most real fans wanted. Another thing is if Fury wins and Joshua loses, we might actually get that undisputed fight because Fury and Pulev are on the same side, but then we need to hope Whyte either loses his mandatory position or loses to Pedvetkin to help speed up the undisputed fight.
Who has a better chance? Wilder vs Fury, or Pulev vs AJ? I think Pulev has the better chance and Wilder is doing AJ a favor. Letting him keep his pleather another day.
No! No step aside money for One-trick Phony. He wanted to fight Fury, let him fight Fury. Once Fury beats him again, he should fulfill his mando obligation and fight Whyte. That's what idiotic Hearn should do but he won't. Hearn might be the hardest man in boxing but he's also the dumbest. Remember. Fury will retire after his next 2 fights, even if he loses to AJ.
If it was in the contract for a 3rd Fury/Wilder fight then DW has a case, however as we all know unification's out trump mandatory's, so Pulev doesn't have a leg to stand on.
