Shame Klitschko broters never fought Valuev

Valuev was very decent heavyweight, unstoppable. He had some nice wins, John Ruiz 2x, Barrett, old version Holyfield. I felt Holyfield was robbed than, but it was a close fight and close fights go to champs. Valuev was WBA champ from 2005 -2007 and 2008 -2009. Ok, he lost to Haye and Chagaev and Wladimir beat both, but still, I wonder how would Valuev - Wladimir fight look like.

Either one EASILY beats Valuev. Other than size, Valuev really didn't have much else. Wasn't fast, wasn't powerful, wasn't coordinated, didn't have a high work rate.

Larry Donald was robbed against Valuev as well. I think Valuev is getting destroyed by the Klitschko brothers. Wladimir-Valuev is probably
an interesting fight at the time though given how vulnerable so many people considered him to be.

I think you’re right about him being destroyed. Wlad size and athleticism would really trouble him. I see it similar to his performance vs Wach.

Pffft. Would’ve been an absolute snooze fest.

Wasnt it a political reason why Valuev vs Klitschkos didnt happen?

Nah, the Vitali fight was close to happening, K2 offered him $2.5 million dollars at one point but Valuev wanted $4 million.. after his lost the title. There just wasn't enough money to make that fight, as they don't do PPV in Germany.

Valuev being promoted by Don King surely didn't help.

Maybe earlier Wlad against later Valuev, but by 05 Wlad was pretty well together. He'd been with Manny a little while by then I think, and by 09 there's no chance in hell Valuev catches him.

I think Wlad's footspeed is sometimes underrated because his footwork isn't great. He is a bit of a track fighter, but, that's because he's fast enough with his jab, both his hand and his feet, to go straight in and out quite often.

Everyone knows it but may as well got over, jab, jab, jab, maybe right hand then clinch or maybe just clinch, reset distance, jab, jab, jab.

I don't think Valuev was ever knocked down once in his career. So I doubt Wlad ends him. Maybe if Manny gets on Wlad's ass for going rounds with a guy who can KO Wlad, because Manny was big about that, but mostly I see a UD.

Maybe Wlad could KO him Emanuel motivated him enough but I don't think so. It's hard to shake that never been down bit.

Wlad would knock him out and Vitali would punish him for 12 rounds, maybe stop him late by TKO.
