True but fanboys spin it by saying Canelo vacated the belt to duck a mandatory fight. They were both elevated in status so if you wanna say Canelo vacated his belt then you also have to include Charlo ducking his silver interim belt. The franchise belt actually makes the Charlo fight more realistic since there is no more mandatory split between silver and Gold WBC titles.
