Comments Thread For: Reynoso: Andy Ruiz Has Something Special, He Has a Future

Despite criticism for his lack of discipline, if Mexican heavyweight Andy Ruiz was capable of becoming a world champion, it is because he has something special, according to top trainer Eddy Reynoso. Reynoso hopes that the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic will come to an end so he could begin his work with Ruiz.

The only problem is you can't teach passion and discipline. He has the wrong kind of hunger.

Reynoso is the perfect trainer for the job.

The rest is all up to Ruiz. He needs to want it, be willing to work hard, and eat/drink the right things. Hire a nutritionist if necessary.

Perfect match. Ruiz can fight. He embarrassed himself and his entire family. It's make believe time.🥊

They're going to do everything they can to save ruiz's reputation after he shat the bed because he's of Mexican descent, and they know they can generate money from that fan base despite his fk up as was the case with Chavez Jr. Bring in a trainer with a good reputation who works with some top guys and the gullible fans will truly belive that he's turned it around and will realize his potential. The problem is, similar to Chavez Jr, how many lazy /undisciplined boxers have you actually seen turn it around and get their acts together? If he wasn't driven to prove that the first Joshua win wasn't a fluke and he wasn't another Buster Douglas , as many speculated, what can motivate him?

Ruiz is his own worst enemy. The condition he showed up in for his return bout with Joshua was a DISGRACE. I would never again count on him to show up in shape.
