Prime Sergio Mora Rips GGG’s opponents

I'm a Golovkin fan, not a FANBOY. Everyone in NSB knows that. I'm aware of how bad his fanboys are but his detractors are just as bad. I've ripped Golovkin at times and I can prove it.
Mora's claim to fame is going life and death with Peter "Mortadella Sandwich Breath" Manfredo twice. That's it. In order to beat Golovkin, you need either a really hard punch or superior boxing ability or both. Mora has neither of those. He's not that good and he doesn't have much power. We all know that prime for prime, Mora would've gotten sodomized. And if the fight happened, his detractors would've used it against Golovkin.
The middleweight division was lousy for a while and Golovkin had to take on some weak opposition. Beating the dog shit out of Mora would've done nothing more for his legacy than the other overmatched opponents Golovkin faced. Why didn't the fight happen? I don't know. But if you think that he was afraid of Mora then you're as delusional as he is.
EDIT: In case you planned on arguing "Willie Monroe Jr doe!"... I'm not saying that Willie was any better than Mora, I'm saying is that they're more or less the same level of opposition. The only reason why anyone has heard of Mora was because of that ****** reality show. If not for that, we wouldn't even be having this conversation right now.
Funny thing is like you I been deeply critical of Golovkin at times - in fact I've probably criticised him more than any other fighter, precisely cos am I am a fan so I feel I got the right. But the dumb shit dudes like fucktime come up with is just ridiculous. The list of guys that Golovkin suppossedly ducked is growing by the week it seems... expect I'm gonna come back next week and read how he 'avoided' Barker or Soliman or N'dam..
Oh, and likely Mora wasn't considered (much like Lara) is because he was with Haymon and the promotional cold war was in full swing at that time... as Loeffler would say he wasn't 'on HBO's approved list'. Monroe was with Banner so kinda nonaligned at the time and had also like Mora won a televised tourney although the Boxcino tourneys weren't as much in the public eye as the Contender of course. Comparable opponents though, hell even Sergio acknowledges as much (he'd have to I guess since one of em beat Vera and one... didn't... twice.).Last edited by Citizen Koba; 05-03-2020, 10:18 AM.Comment

Did you raise your hand, little one?
Your energy is in all the wrong places. Nothing but bashing GGG and defending Canelo all day, everyday with you. And your views are all born out of a warped sense of reality.
I know boxing and see that Mora doesn’t have the style to upset GGG.
You know who else knows boxing? The guy who, in the eyes of most, beat your supposed p4p #1.
I’m not even going to entertain this dumb take any further. I’ve seen how your “debates” go. It’s just you displaying a psychotic amount of psycho energy as you babble on nonsensically. Have a good day.
Mora is average at best. He has mediocre boxing ability, no power, he's no defensive wizard and while he's not exactly packing glass, he doesn't have exceptionally good punch resistance. The fact that he went life and death with Peter "Spaghetti and Meatballs" Manfredo twice tells you everything you need to know about him.
Taking that into consideration, it begs the question: what in God's name makes anyone think that Mora would've stood a snowball's chance in hell against Golovkin? Seriously, what? He wouldn't be able to outbox Golovkin or hit him with enough force to keep him at bay. I think it would've looked similar to the Jacobs rematch, where Mora was running around like an idiot and complaining to the ref every chance he got. He'd be in survival mode from the opening bell and ultimately would get stopped. Aboutfktime has a point in that Mora would've made it a sloppy fight by awkardly ducking and jumping around like a retarded chimpanzee but if anyone would look bad because of it, it's Mora, not Golovkin.
Golovkin would've pounded on Mora's body until he shit himself and everyone knows it, including Mora. I can't believe this is even being debated. The detractors who are claiming he ducked Mora would've given Golovkin no credit for beating Mora, in fact, they'd a criticized him for taking the fight. I wouldn't give Golovkin much credit either for the reasons stated above. It's a non-issue. No boxing fan with a brain gives a flying fuck about Golovkin not fighting him.Comment

That WBC 154 lineage before Canelo and PAC was battled out between Mora and Haymon’s Forrest. Who had been, on paper, the most accomplished of fighters in 2012-2013? I’d say Mora would’ve been more elusive than Rosado or Ishida. The experience counts. Brian Vera was always heavy handed, stocky ass bull. If you can withstand 12 with him, Id bet Mora could go 12 with GGG. Would GGG have beaten Mora. More than likely. By stoppage? Hard to say. UD? Most likely.
Can’t blame Mora for having wanted That fight. HBO wasn’t interested. Q4 2013, Macklin was a good choice.Comment

I think you’re exaggerating... it’s not like a Brandon Adams type of setting or a once Nate Diaz whose fame began on a UFC reality show LONG AGO... yet Conor diehards didn’t know that.

It’s just surreal. If GGG diehards SWEAR that Canelo would “drain” to make 155 Canelo weight then it affects him too. Lol. The Canelo that fought Kovalev was a 100% Canelo not worrying about water cut. Canelo haters interpret water mass as muscle mass. Not the same.
Fight hype had the video of Canelo open to a 155 showdown with GGG. If GGG said he’d fight PAC or Floyd at 154 or that 154 was “Easy” then why didn’t GGG take a Canelo payday when Floyd (retired) or PAC wouldn’t give GGG a fight? Canelo called Abel’s bluff and Team GGG ran away. Ever since then the “154 was easy” was abandoned. There were no other PPV fights that GGG could’ve done without Canelo, so the burden was always on GGG. Just a talker.
But the GGG diehards will flip it and forget that GGG never says anything comedic or accountable. GGG told Esnews and Fight Hub, “155... Canelo too big.” Lol. GGG always been bigger than Canelo. Therefore, it’s proof that GGG was willing to drain like Oscar did for PAC at 155 and that the whole “154-160 is easy” was all bullshet.Comment

GGG afraid of Mora? Come on man, you know it's not true. He would have beat up Mora worse than both Jacobs fights combined.Comment

Of course not, but the popcorn must be made for the GGG diehards. GGG diehards clamor about “business sense” yet they assume accomplished fighters have to bend over to B sides. I don’t care about A vs B, but the unfortunate reality are splits. You can knock on Canelo for Cotto wanting a PPV Mex vs PR showdown to avenge his brother at his requested catchweight, nor another payday with Chavez Jr.

I don't think he or anyone else actually believes that.Comment
