It would be an amazing moment if Crawford ruined his dentures. He would never be able to escape that moment for the rest of his career.

The posts will never be replaced...he's waiting for the bone to grow into and around them making them secure. After that they will bond the crowns to the posts. They will never have the give that a natural tooth has from ligaments and will always be more vulnerable.
This is exactly right. I was curious to see if Spence was going to proceed with implants or make the smart career decision and stick with a partial until retirement. I even considered contacting him to offer my advice. This is, in my opinion, a massive mistake that could put his entire mid face in jeopardy.

I'm sure it was a great cash grab for the GP and OMS that treated him, though.

        I think he's done guy's.
That’s a list of the worst possible cases and they rarely happen. It’s said that when they drill artificial teeth into your jaw that the are stronger than your natural teeth in every way. One thing may have been overlooked. They are drilling into the jawline, which would weaken the structural integrity of the jaw, I’d have to imagine. No expert though.

Spence probably will also... but he needs the initial surgery to heal

As anyone who's survived being thrown from a massive car accident would tell you, there will be things discovered damaged and/or very fragile down the road for Spence ... unless he is supremely blessed and fortunate. The idea that his attitude/thoughts rule out discovering that he is not 100% down the road is juvenile thinking. He could win fights and still find out that there are serious issues which may force his hand. Whether he wins or loses a fight won't change what may or may not be discovered in his future.

Pointless to worry about excuses and such. No matter what he says or thinks, he will be very fortunate to be able to continue boxing, and doubly more so if he is anywhere near where he used to be. If he becomes the pre-accident Spence will be an absolute miracle. Any fights he wins or loses in the future will have an asterisk, period. It's very nice that he is as well as he is, and speaking positively about going forward though.

Crawford is a great boxer and person. He will not be fighting the pre-accident Spence however. So win or lose it really won't satisfy what would have happened prior to the accident.

This! Most likely his spine is subtly out of alignment leading to increased likelihood of injuries in the future

Good post! Of course he has a positive outlook, because he knows that boxing is the way he makes his living, so he has no choice but to have that mindset. Those in the health care field know that he has a long road ahead of him! If we think Wilder sustained some damage from Fury, just imagine what Spence went through? They don't put you in the ICU for nothing!

I have said this previously, no one should expect Spence to be fighting top tier WW for at least 2/3 tune ups, he DID sustain damages that affect his career.

I don’t care what anybody says
He will never be the same
Just like a soccer player who fughs up his knee , that player will never be the same
Not to mention what or how he’ll feel when the weather turns , aches and pains plus other injuries that surface later on in time

That’s the thing, by just looking at the wreckage you have to imagine that whoever was in the car would have sustain damages, whether it’s internal or external. He isn’t superman so the people thinking he would be the same before this aren’t being real.
