Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois: I'm 100% Confident That I'll Beat Joe Joyce!

Heavyweight boxing prospect Daniel Dubois, has today responded to the effusive praise poured on him by Tyson Fury's old man, big John Fury. 22-year-old Dubois, upon hearing that the elder Fury had referred to him as a "dangerous man", smiled and simply confirmed "he's **** on there, isn't he?"

I was really looking forward to the heavyweight schedule starting with whyte vs povetkin, usyk vs chisora, AJ vs Pulev, Joyce vs Dubois and fury vs wilder 3. But Joyce vs Dubois was the fight I was most interested in. If everything is safe by July I hope these guys can lock horns.

Of course, Joyce throws a punch at 11pm it lands at 7 in the morning.

Has anyone ever said they are like 70% sure they will win?

I'm intrigued in how Dubois career is going to pan out. There's lots of promise but I think he's a couple of steps behind the big guns. Even though Joyce will be a good marker for him I feel he could lose this one and still go on to dominate the division in the near future. I don't think he will lose and I think it could be a good scrap...

Heavyweight scene has been at its poorest in a good decade or more so its there to be taken... Good luck to the lad..

Watching these two it's hard not to pick Dubois but a lot can change depending how they handle or do not handle each other's power. I expect Dubois to be able to outland Joyce but just outlanding your opponent isn't always enough to win it.

Best outside of title fights. I want to see it and not a fan of either. The timing is good, both on the way up.

Completely agree, yeah Joyce is a little slow but Dubois is hardly rapid. All points towards a fan friendly slugfest.

As you say both are up and coming, highly motivated and well conditioned with good engines and can ****. Should be a real war of attrition.
